  Pete, I think I gave Freedom's Road very much a "shot", or perhaps you missed the line in the article calling it a "very early candidste for best of the year"?

  By the way, Glen, wasn't John Mellencamp's idea to change his name to Johnny Cougar, in the beginning, the managers idea of making a quick buck!
  The rest of your review was pretty much fantastic.
  
  PS: All of John Mellencamp's albums are brilliant, right back to the beginning, until now.

  Ok Love the new Cd.
  got it from the library just to check it out, wasn't sure if it would be good material.
  Question is:
  After the last song, Heaven is a lonly place there is about 3:08 of silence and then there is another song that mentions "Rodeo Clown".
  Why the long gap in the music and why isn't this song listed on the CD.
