One of country’s best selling duo acts, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, started off their career with this brilliant album - Brand New Man. Probably still considered one of their strongest collaborations, it is the perfect album for any new fan to listen to. It’s the first CD of theirs I heard, and with their perfect harmonies, boot-scooting music, and great songs it’s an album that should be in a country fan’s CD collection.
One of the things I do love about this album is it does stick to country. Whereas the likes of female country artists Shania Twain, Faith Hill, and Leann Rimes have gone more pop, these boys tend to stick to good old fashioned country tunes. Another thing I love about this duo is while they can sing the rambling, macho country tunes, they carry off a ballad just as well, "Neon Moon" and "Still In Love With You" are fine examples of that.
Definitely worth checking out are: "Cool Drink Of Water", "My Next Broken Heart", "Boot Scootin' Boogie", and "Still In Love With You". Rumor has it, "Boot Scootin' Boogie" helped start that boot scooting craze that still has not left us.
