But it must be noted that this really is a specialty item for fantasy fans. If you’re like me and have a problem with suspending disbelief, you might like the music but the storyline will leave you behind. For those of us who aren’t about to rock with The Ereyn Chronicles, I’d suggest investing in the CD/DVD of This Is Spinal Tap, and at least get a laugh out of the fantasy driven lyrics that almost made them famous.
"A sinister cabal of superior writers."

I can definately appreciate a metal review but this stuff is so generic. Believe me, Magna Carta Records has released some fine works but when they drop names expecting people to drop their jaws it leaves too much hype in the mix.
The drums are triggered and must have been edited like several million times. That Stratovarius style of drumming isn't that spectacular anymore. I have to give Mr.Lefebvre credit for doing everything but you really can tell that he should've hired some studio musicians. His guitar work is nowhere close to Mr. Malmsteens and almost sounds to nu-metalish for anyone that has really listened to Yngwie's work! This type of CD is the reason why I have stayed away from Blind Gaurdian for quite some time...Too Much Production and not enough work put into the composition.

*BTW*.... I would rate it at like ** stars. I would also suggest for anyone who wants an epic CD to go back a few years & buy Ayreon "The Human Equation".. So much more worth it than this...

This album is amazing !!
I love each tracks, all sounds really really good, the whole album is a pure jewel.
I especially love Hugo's voice, which is melodic, both sweet and strong. I just can't wait to see them on tour, had to be a tremendous show !
Let's give a chance to new group like this to be a part of the music industry !! Believe me, it's only the beginning !

This is a tremendous album, especially considering it's a debut. Power progressive metal at its finest...one of the best surprises of 2006.
