The journey into music videos (and other bits) continues its mission to deliver you something worthy of your time, perhaps introducing you to something new along the way.
This week I continue compiling videos and various musical related tidbits for your viewing pleasure. Some will be brand spanking new, while others will just be things I like. I am not great with timeliness, but I hope you've been enjoying these video collections.
Norma Jean - "Robots 3 Humans 0"
I like these guys. Well, I at least liked what I had heard in the past. This is the first song I've heard from Anti-Mother. Now I have a question, as solid as it is and as decent as the video is, when did Norma Jean turn into the Deftones? This has a very Deftonesy feel to it. It is distinctly different from their other material, and I am not convinced it is for the better.
Framing Hanley - "Lollipop" (cover)
It appears that Jonathan Davis is not the only guy getting into Lil Wayne. Framing Hanley has gotten into the act covering "Lollipop." It doesn't sound all that bad, all party rock style with little substance. I think my biggest problem is that you are nearly two and a half minutes into the video before the song even starts.
Lacuna Coil - Visual Karma (Body, Mind and Soul) DVD Art, Track List, "Our Truth" clip
Lacuna Coil is an excellent band: great melody, metallic edge, powerful vocals, and an all around great package. Century Media will be releasing a 2-DVD set covering the Karmacode release and subsequent tours. I am looking forward to this. Having seen them once before, it will be nice to see them in bigger settings, like the Wacken set included here. Below you will find the cover art, contents, and a nice live clip of "Our Truth" from Wacken.
