Pop Evil - "Hero"
The Grand Rapids, MI, based Pop Evil have recently released their debut album called Lipstick on the Mirror. The first single is called "Hero" and its release was announced by a press release that stated the band attacked their lawyer and that video of the incident was on YouTube. Now, the band is not all that bad, (Not great, but fun rock music.) but I do not particularly care for the way they announced the video. Are they that hard up for press that they went this route? Or was it something calculated by the label? In either case, I guess it worked as here's the video:
Mushroomhead - "12 Hundred"
I love Mushroomhead, they rock out with a sound resembling a cross between Faith No More and Slipknot while still sounding original and fresh. They may not be seen as being at the forefront of the genre and suffer in the shadow of Slipknot, I have always preferred these guys and hope for many albums down the road. "12 Hundred" came from their last album, Savior Sorrow, and was voted Video of the Year in 2007 on MTV's Headbanger's Ball.

The Human Abstract - "Procession of the Fates"
I only recently became aware of these guys. A friend at work told me I needed to check them out, so here I am. Musically, these guys are wild, some really great guitar work, nice aggressiveness and plenty of melody. If there is one thing I am not all that crazy about, its the vocals.
Nightmare Revisited - Track List, Cover Art
Way back in 1993 Tim Burton unleashed his ultimate Halloween vision upon the world. It was received with a somewhat tepid response, but since then, thanks to home video, the film has taken on a strong cult following. The following has led to massive product support through chains like Hot Topic. The latest release is a new album called Nightmare Revisited, featuring re-workings of the classic songs by artists like Korn, Rise Against, Marilyn Manson, Amy Lee, and Flyleaf. The album is set for release on September 30.
