Music Media: Lordi, Biohazard, In This Moment, Enslaved, Hellvetica, Fuse, Machinery, Korea

Part of: Music Media

The journey into music videos (and other bits) continues its mission to deliver something worthy of your time, perhaps introducing you to something new along the way.

This week I continue compiling videos and various musical related tid-bits for your viewing pleasure. Some will be brand spanking new, while others will just be things I like. I am not great with timeliness, but I hope you've been enjoying these video collections.

Lordi - "Bite it Like a Bulldog" (live)

Recently Finnish hard rock act Lordi was on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. This band is a lot of fun and I feel are good and different enough to fend off the inevitable Gwar comparisons. Here they perform a track off their recent album Deadache. Now, I do not think this is a great live performance, but it still is fun.

Biohazard - "Punishment" (live)

The reunited Biohazard is out on tour and below is footage from a stop in Denmark. It is a performance of "Punishment" complete with Dolph Lundgren intro, from the film Punisher. It is not the song that it is important, it is the poor fool who accidentally hits Evan Seinfeld and the repercussions of such interaction. Skip to the three-minute mark to see it.

In This Moment - "Forever"

Recently, In This Moment stopped by the Altitude studio and performed an acoustic version of "Forever," the lead single from their sophomore release The Dream. Let me put the performance this way: Wow, not good. That would be the kind way of putting it. I could be mean and say it was a complete and under debacle. The guitars were fine, but Maria's voice sounds horrid. This could be any number of reasons, she was sick, used it all up the night before, or she is only suited to going all out on stage, this was just an ill advised performance. The studio version sounds pretty good (hear it on Myspace).

Enslaved - "The Watcher"

Why does this band's name sound so familiar? I do not think I have ever heard Enslaved before clicking play on the video below, but after hearing this I am definitely interested in finding more. The music is heavy, melodic, and just beautifully put together. The vocals are a bit generic at times, but they blend very nicely with the clean vocals. The video ain't half bad either.
