Dokken - "Dream Warriors"

Dokken turned out some great tunes back in the 1980s. I don't care what anyone says. No, they aren't my favorite act but the Back for the Attack album was (and is) phenomenal. One of the tunes from that disk was also featured on the soundtrack for Freddy's third outing. The song bears the film's subtitle and they even made a video for it:

Unearth - The March Preview

I love Unearth. These guys just flat out rock. Riffs, solos, vocals, they are the whole package. Best of the genre? I don't know, labels like that can be so subjective and just lead to fights. I will say that I eagerly look forward to the release of The March. Here is a preview clip that the band has posted for it:

Jonathan Davis - "Got Money" Cover

I cannot say that I am a big fan of Lil' Wayne, not really my scene, but when I see Jonathan Davis of Korn covering a tune, well, I'll take a peek. The video below is behind the scenes video of the recording of the tune. The song is "Got Money" and Davis has said he got into him some time ago. The song is fun, although I cannot take him seriously. But seriously, not bad.

Two - "Shout"

Shortly after leaving Judas Priest, Rob Halford formed Fight, a solid metal act that would release two albums and a remix/live compilation. The next project he started was Two, an industrial act that released one album produced by Trent Reznor. I cannot say that I was a fan of this project, but definite credit to Halford for trying something different. This is a video of Two performing the song "Shout" back in 1998. The performance features John 5 (Marilyn Manson/Rob Zombie) on guitar. Surprisingly, it doesn't sound nearly as bad as I was expecting.
