The journey into music videos (and other bits) continues its mission to deliver you something worthy of your time, perhaps introducing you to something new along the way.

This week I continue compiling videos and various musical related tidbits for your viewing pleasure. Some will be brand spanking new, while others will just be things I like. I am not great with timeliness, but I hope you've been enjoying these video collections.

Katra - "Beast Within"

Katra is a Finnish act named after the band's singer, Katra Solopuro. The single comes from the band's English language debut album, which was released the past August on Napalm Records. The song originally appeared on Katra's solo album in her native Finnish language. I like the song; it has great melody. I may have to check out more from them.

Marilyn Manson - "This is Halloween (live)"

Marilyn Manson has never hid his liking of The Nightmare Before Christmas, going so far as to cover "This is Halloween" on two different releases (although, it may be the same version, I haven't checked). His adoration has even made its way to the stage with Manson performing the song live, including this 2007 performance on Halloween:

Scarlet Sins - Gydget

Canadian all-female hard rock act has released a gydget with music, video, and purchase links. Before stumbling across this sampler, I had never heard of the band before. After listening to the samples, I am not sure they are worth getting crazy over, but there is no denying the appeal to decently crafted hard rock tunes they produce. They are definitely worth taking a look into, with controlled expectations.
