The journey into music videos (and other bits) continues its mission to deliver you something worthy of your time, perhaps introducing you to something new along the way.
This week I continue compiling videos and various musical related tidbits for your viewing pleasure. Some will be brand spanking new, while others will just be things I like. I am not great with timeliness, but I hope you've been enjoying these video collections.
Eagles of Death Metal - "Wanna be in LA"
I've seen this band's name floating around for awhile now, but have not listened to them until checking out this video. The band name really has no bearing on the music, not really bringing any sounds of the Eagles or death metal. That said, this song has a catchy beat and a quirky sense of fun around it. Not sure I want any more, but this is not all that bad.
Krisiun - "Combustion Inferno"
I seriously need to get me some Krisiun. Ever since I started looking around for videos and trying to review more and more bands, my eyes have been opened to so much music that I find it nearly impossible to even begin scratching the surface. Krisiun is one of those bands I've known about but have heard very little from. This song from their recent release Southern Storm is pretty wild and all out brutal.
Rob Zombie - "War Zone" from Punisher: War Zone
This December will see the third Punisher film reach the big screen. It will be the third attempt to kick off a franchise following the Dolph Lundgren film in the early 1990's (which I like) and the Thomas Jane version a few years back (which I like parts of). This new version stars Ray Stevenson in the title role, taking down gangsters on a bloody path to punish those responsible for the murder of his family. He will be doing so to a heavy soundtrack that will feature this new Rob Zombie track, which is decent and probably the heaviest tune he's turned out in years. Check out the song below, after the album track list:

Nice line-up...Some interesting stuff.
I can't believe that you would actually admit to liking Dolph Lundgren's Punisher. *Ugh* Being a huge comic book fan back in the day, when that movie came out it was very disappointing. Maybe time has diluted that perspective. The last Punisher movie was damn good,imo... Though I can understand the useless inclusion of those misfits in the apartment complex. Hopefully, the new movie will truly show who the Punisher truly is. Though, Warzone will be a hard one to pull off.
Dude, the new Chris Cornell is just sad...That's all I care to say about that. But, so wasn't his last effort.
As for Sepultura, imho, Arise was their best work and I haven't cared to follow them since I was in High School.

Thanks Gupp.
You know, I like a lot of movies that no one else does. Punisher is one of those flicks. I am worried about the new one, the trailers have looked cool, but it has a definite B-movie feel. I also here it is going to be heavily edited. One can always hope.
As for Sepultura, I love the trifecta of Arise, Chaos AD, and Roots. I lost interest after Max left.

I hear ya... If they stripped Mr. Lundgren's work of the title Punisher then I probably would've liked it considering I liked a couple of his movies. As a "Punisher" movie, it failed.
I had a feeling with Warzone that it is not going to be anything spectacular but I will still see it.
Oh Well...One can dream, I guess.

weird--that chris cornell video was filmed just down the street from my house. i think they are filming chunks of whatever show that is here as well. i've come out of my apt several times to find the street blocked off and full of 70s gas guzzlers. it's rather strange.
