Sirenia - The Path to Decay

Zerosystem - "New Brand of Justice"

This tune is rather frustrating. I like some of the stuff they are doing musically, particularly the electronic sounds strewn throughout. It is pretty grooving cut, but it is also rather bland and never seems to reach what it is aiming for. However, the worst part is the vocals, too much screamo and not enough metal. Finally, take the camera off the see-saw!

Steve Vai - "Blue Powder" (live)

Not sure why, but I got the desire to check out some Steve Vai stuff on YouTube and came across this live performance of "Blue Powder" recorded in 2001 for his Live at the Astoria DVD (a disk I think I may have, but never watched). Quite simply put the guy is flat out amazing! If that isn't enough, check out the bass parts provided by Billy Sheehan!

Callejon - "Phantomschmerz"

Never heard of them before and do not understand a single word they are saying, but I must admit to be digging on the song. They are a so-called "zombiecore" band, although I am not sure what that means. When I started the video I was expecting something like one of my friend's band, Hard Rock Zombie, complete with blood and make up. Instead I got something different, it has zombies in it and music that is pretty cool. Take a look:
