Hatebreed - "Live for This (live)"
In September Hatebreed will be releasing their first live DVD, Live Dominance, chronicling a show in Texas captured by Vinnie Paul. I have seen these guys twice, once years ago when they were just coming up, and I wasn't impressed. Then I saw them more recently opening for Killswitch Engage — killer show! Hopefully, I will catch them on their upcoming tour. In the meantime, below is a sample of their DVD.
Intronaut - Prehistoricisms Widget
Intronaut has a new album coming in early September. For those who cannot wait, or are curious, they have released a widget with a couple of streaming tracks. The songs are called "Australopithecus" and "The Literal Black Cloud". I had never heard of them before, but these cuts are pretty good. This album could be worth investigating.
Ross the Boss - "Blood of Knives"
Ross the Boss is the former guitar player for Manowar. He is preparing a new album that keeps it heavy, melodic, and old school. At least that is what I am hearing on this first track. The album is called New Metal Leader and if other cuts resemble this, I may just have to give it a shot.
