MTV makes AIDS film. MTV has made and is distributing for free a film on HIV to broadcasters. The film called “Transit” is about eight people whose lives intertwine and it highlights the risk of contracting the virus. MTV will be showing the film on its stations worldwide today for World AIDS Day.
Skype to offer video phone. Skype’s 2.0 software has new features including a video phone calling feature. Skype has made distribution partnerships with Logitech and Creative, the webcam makers. In addition to the video phone calling feature, Skype has also made a deal with Six Apart, the blog service, that will allow users to instantly contact bloggers who use Six Apart.
Taste of Chaos dates announced. 2006's Taste of Chaos, featuring The Deftones, Thrice, As I Lay Dying and Atreyu will kick off in San Diego on February 16th and end in April Montreal.
