Motley Crue Reunited - All Original Members.

In case you've been living under a rock, Motley Crue (new photos) announced their reunion tour today. We'll go ahead and nominate this one for worst kept secret since Van Halen reunited with Hagar....but anyway, here are my thoughts:

It's been a mere 5 years since the original lineup has taken the stage....and they weren't exactly selling out shows for that reunion tour either. They'll tour arenas early next year, and will take it to the sheds for the summer, for a tour that reportedly will be a co-headlining tour with Def Leppard.

After a press conference on Monday, the reunion bandwagon started rolling in style:

The band kicked it all off with a quick interview with Larry King, which led straight into a 5 song set at the Palladium in Hollywood, CA.

Setlist from Blabbermouth.net

01. Dr. Feelgood
02. Shout At The Devil
03. If I Die Tomorrow (new song)
04. Girls, Girls, Girls
05. Wild Side

So is it time for a Motley Crue reunion? What are your thoughts? Here's some more reading for you to soak in....

Press Release:

The raucous rulers of the sex-and-drugs-fueled nightlife on L.A.'s Sunset Strip have returned to their old stomping grounds. All four original members of MÖTLEY CRÜE, the glam-metal gods who've sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and who paved the way for other seminal rock acts, have reunited for the first time in six years, announcing a new world tour — VH1 & VH1 Classic Present "Mötley Crüe: Red White & Crüe Tour 2005…Better Live Than Dead" — and giving their fans a live taste of it. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, December 11 at Ticketmaster and VH1.com.

The event at the Hollywood Palladium began at 6:00 p.m. with a press conference announcing the tour, a new anthology album and the debut of a fresh single and video, "If I Die Tomorrow". The new tour, it was revealed during the press conference, resulted not only from strong demand by homegrown audiences, but was largely fueled by the diligent efforts of Mags Revell, a U.K. promoter with Metropolis Music Group, who launched his own grass-roots campaign in the U.K. designed to get the band to reunite. Taking the unprecedented steps of placing advertising in U.K. media and putting a hold on concert venues in the U.K. for June, 2005, Revell's efforts quickly gained traction with fans all across the world who added fuel to the fire by taking to the Internet and spreading the word.

There I was flipping through the channels and up pops Larry King's ugly mug, as he is interviewing the original members of Motley Crue, just before they are about to take the stage for a reunion concert.....WTF?? I kind of doubt they are going to be able to fill the size arenas they have listed on their tour sked. I would love to see these guys in a large club - they should stick to that.

I wish it wasn't 20years later. I mean, have they thought about that? That all of the young sexy women (like me, hahahhaha) are now 20 years older? And we will be the same ones who went to see them exactly 20 years ago? The best show I saw of them was on Dec. 11th, Wednesday, 1985 at the Hampton Coliseum in VA.

I'm a big fan of this band. I live in Bogota (Colombia) and I wanna know if we can see the band here. Does anybody know if the band will stick around here?
