Mondo Radio Episode 14!

Part of: Mondo Radio

Disclaimer - The Mondo Podcast is rated Adults Only for a multitude of reasons, most of which relate to how damn juvenile it all is. If one is perhaps offended by words along the lines of shit, fuck, cunt, Christmas, or is perhaps less than delighted at the prospect of sundry sexual acts being discussed no end, best perhaps to avoid this.

On the first day of Christmas Mondo Irlando and Blogcritics.org gave to me The Mondo Podcast Episode 14, being the Christmas Holiday New Years Spectacular.

73 minutes of meandering banter, self-reflection, biological experiments, festive fuckery and great music, this time around from the likes of Babyshambles, Ryan Adams, Arctic Monkeys, Half-Man Half-Biscuit, Test Icicles and Bright Eyes.

Duke, I have gotten to listen to the first couple of segments and you have achieved new highs in reaching new lows. I couldn't be more proud and I am twitching with anticipation to hear the rest of the program.

Excellent man, big laughs all round! Up the arse! Hahaha, brilliant imagery there.

But I must say that I share the old Xmas fond memories of the past, like yourself. Although yes I wish I could avoid all this nowadays.

    Happy Kwanzaa and so on...

Sir Fleming, thank you, an yes, it is a magical place, my arsehole.

Mat, glad to hear you're diggin it thus far.

Listening now, Sir Duke. All I can say thus far is that it's been far too long since I sampled the Mondo Radio experience. Great music, great banter, great frivolity is the long and the short of it.

Just finished -- excellence as always, good sir. I enjoyed the addition of the explorer character and his earnest wistfulness. Wistful was a theme it seems as displayed by your tour of the year by way your own backside.

Great music, too -- I'm coming to rely on this show to know what the hells going on that's good in the old music sphere!

Mr B, thank you! That explorer fella was a one-off, maybe he'll re-appear round easter, who knows? as to the music, i said in this about the five or six different recordings an versions a this, there's twice that many playlists on the hard-drive all wi Mondo Podcast 14 attached. i think i settled on the right one, specially wi that sublime christmas offering from Lovely Conor. thanks again, man, as ever!

Yeah, that Christmas tune was rather fantastic. Up there, in my opinion, with the Voodoo Glow Skull's rendition of "Feliz Navidad" !

Thank you for playing "Go Fuck Yourself." Love that one.

Duke... another golden one. One of these days you and I will have to release an outtakes box set or some such thing with all the discarded podcasts.

A Christmas Podcast or a Conor Tribute? You decide. Great stuff, as always Duke. Another high point. I like the journeys in this episode. I am reminding myself to plagirize it on an upcoming podcast directly.

DJ, it's a fine line, truly is. I'm glad you dug it, an especially glad you dug GFY. as to the box-set, i'd cringe myself in twenty-seven if e'er a kb of those mp3's were loosed 'pon creation.

I know what you mean, Duke. I actually considered keeping some outtakes around and then thought better of it and deleted the shit out of them. They'll remain in my memory as the frightful rubbish I know them to be.
