Better late then never. The list is quite diverse in musical styles I have to say. From pop to hip hop to alt rock - it's all there.

1. Rufus Wainwright - "Want One" - This is just a gorgeous CD. The writing, vocal, arrangements all melt into one beautiful package.
Standout Song: "Beautiful Child"

2. Raveonettes - "Chain Gang of Love" - A Rock 'n' Roll Wall of Sound with distorted guitars.
Standout Song: "Remember"

3. Postal Service - "Give Up" - In the same vein as New Order, Pet Shop Boys, OMD, Psychedelic Furs.
Standout Song: "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight"

4. Jody Watley - "Midnight Lounge"
- This is not the Jody Watley of the '80's. Excellent smooth chill out grooves; from house to drum & bass.
Standout Song: "Saturday Night Experience"

5. Basement Jaxx - "Kish Kash" - The even make N Sync's JC Chasez sound cool.
Standout Song: "Lucky Star"

6. Anthony Hamilton - "Comin' From Where I'm From" - The best R&B, yes-actual R&B, CD of the year. Great voice, sound and production.
Standout Song: "Comin' From Where I'm From"

7. The Shins - "Chutes Too Narrow" - The CD is full of amazing hooks and melodies. An acquired taste.
Standout Song: "Young Pilgrims"

8. Annie Lennox - "Bare" - Let's not have to wait another 11 years for new solo material.
Standout Song: "A Thousand Beautiful Things"

9. Junior Senior - "D-D-Don't Don't Stop the Beat" - Just the think dance music needed. Something new and different.
Standout Song: "Move Your Feet"

10. Kristine W - "Fly Again" - The dance diva is back with her best CD to date. Great songs and that voice kills me everytime.
Standout Song: "Sing a Song"

11. Damien Rice - "O" - Haunting and never ordinary music with great lyrics to boot.
Standout Song: "Cold Water"
