The songs on this album are nice enough - plenty of radio-friendly hits and all, but it really irks me when I can smell the hands of a producer all over an album. This album is like that. All those horns and all that orchestration... you get there idea that there is a BAND in there SOMEWHERE, but there is so little going on with the guitar, bass, and drums that it doesn't seem like a very GOOD band underneath it all. If it was - then why all the gloss and window dressing?
"A sinister cabal of superior writers."
