’Little’ Milton Campbell dies at 71. The singer never awoke from a coma caused by a stroke he had on July 27th. The Blues guitarist, singer and songwriter recorded his first hit at 18. He was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1988.

I still kick myself for missing the opportunity to see Little Milton play when he headlined the WC Handy Festival in Florence, AL.
His cover of "I Can't Quit You Baby" rivaled the great Otis Rush's version. Little Milton was huge. This is really sad.

I saw little Milton play a beautiful set at the Long Beach Blues Festival many years ago. He was one of the greats, I think. Really underrated.

I will miss my uncle. He and my dad (Pieman) were inseperable. Whenever he came to perform at Pieman's club, I would have to fry him some fish, make a pot of gumbo and always make a pan of cornbread. He loved my cornbread :) May his soul rest in peace.

Man that was a venture.Mr Campbell was a man of talent and class and had the most eye catching outfits that any musician in the music field.
