Kimberely Jones, better known as rapper Lil’ Kim was sentenced for committing perjury on Wednesday. Lil’ Kim will be spending one year in jail and is also required to pay a $50,000 fine. Lil’ Kim lied to a grand jury in order to protect her friends involved in a 2001 shootout. She was facing up to twenty years before the sentence was delivered yesterday.

    I didn't see this sentence coming. Pretty serious, although it is postponed until after her summer vacation. I don't get that. She looked very different too, in her last television appearance. I would not have recognized her. Perjury is common and seldom prosecuted. Not that that's good. I guess they decided to go after her and to make an example.
