Kelly Osbourne has signed a new record deal with London based label Sanctuary Music and her debut single will be a duet with father Ozzy.
As previously reported, both Kelly and Ozzy Osbourne quit Sony imprint Epic earlier this year after a long relationship between the major and the Osbourne family. Rumours circulated that Sony were disappointed by the performance of Kelly's solo work and it was during attempts to renegotiate the Kelly deal that the major fell out with the family. Others argued that the Osbournes' relationship with the label had been based around a personal friendship with former Sony boss Tommy Mottola and that when he left, the Osbournes' departure was inevitable.
Either way, both Kelly and Ozzy have been without a record deal for the last few months. Kelly's new deal will see Sanctuary re-release her debut album 'Shut Up' with extra tracks, including a cover version of the 1972 Black Sabbath track 'Changes', to be performed as a duet with Ozzy.
No word yet on whether Ozzy is considering signing to Sanctuary too.

What major record company wouldn't want Ozzy? It was my understanding that he ditched Sony, not vice versa. Most likely Sharon ditched Sony because they dumped their daughter. Ozzy's last studio CD nearly sold 900,000 copies the last time I saw stats. Not that many solo rock artists can sell that many CDs who had success in the 80's.
The stats I saw for Kelly had Shut Up only selling 155,000 copies and while there was one or two OK songs (the Madonna cover wasn't ok), that CD overall was not good.
Good move for Sanctuary to maybe court the Ozzman, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him not hook up with another major label. Then again I read recently of John Kalodner's site that the only 80's metal acts selling good these days are Metallica and Iron Maiden so who knows ...
