I found so much poetry in this, I won't even tell you which one was mine. Why bother? This pretty much captures him as well as anyone's likely to get...

How come sexy isn't on the list?

I personally like "Jim Morrison was an outlaw" - that's just as good as sexy.

I think he was the kind of person where most of the above was true, all at once.

-Jim Morrison was the Lizard King.

-He died like the bloated Elvis.

    -But most of all

    Jim was Jim.

Listen to his voice and forget the bad poetry and feel the insane rush.

Go to his grave in Paris and watch the people waiting on line. I've done this, but I'm not amazed that he still has such a following.

Listen to him singing and you'll know why.

    ... a pompous douchebag.

I like this post a lot, UAO. This is really clever, creative researching. You should do this with other famous figures -- fascinating stuff. I would seriously read a blog of just these kind of search results and people interpreting them.

Here were my favorites -- sheer brilliance, unlike what I said:

Jim Morrison was an Apollo posing as a Dionysus. (Camille Paglia wants your babies, whoever wrote this, probably to eat.)

Jim Morrison was an awful poet. (Same thing as "an American poet?" Discuss.)

Jim Morrison was an avowed John Bircher who used to write anti-jewish poems
for closeted homosexual reactionary republican youth groups in the early sixties (Is this true?)

    Jim Morrison was an idiot-hippie-wastoid

Jim Morrison was an artist (Simple and open-ended. Very Zen.)

Jim Morrison was an adolescent demi-god (True.)

    The worst ones possible:

Jim Morrison was an existentialist writer

Jim Morrison was an influence for Cobain. (Um, no, other than they died.)

Jim Morrison was an "Askesis" poet. (I want to go break this person's bong.)

Jim Morrison was an avenging angel (I want to break this person's glasses.)

Jim [Morrison] was an electric shaman (I want to go break this person's neck.)

    That is all.

Thanks Bob A. Booey, I'm a fan of your work around here, too. You have a knack for cutting to the heart of the matter with admirable wit and aplomb.

As for your picks here, I pretty much agree, although "Jim Morrison was an inept monkey" was also among my favorites.

One eerie thing that was pointed out to me, that I completely missed when I posted it: every single one of these descriptives begin with vowels. Yet, those really are the exact real search results; I didn't skip a single one.

What are the odds of that? Why didn't anyone say "Jim Morrison was sexy" or "Jim Morrison was a boozehound" or "Jim Morrison was a Bertold Brecht fan" or something?

    Weird.

There are a lot of dubious claims about Jimbo up there, but this one,

Jim Morrison was an interesting and talented wordsmith.

    Well, that's just ridiculous.

Jim Morrison was a highly overrated pop singer pretending to be a deep artiste.

Listening to Jim Morrison live or recordings of his poetry, is like listening to a drunk sluring his words: they might be high art to him, but gibberish to anyone else.

Jim Morrison was a blithering babboon babbeling grabled druken nonsense

Jim Morrison was the best crooner to come along since Frank Sinatra.

Uptight Sinatra, on that comparison alone, must be rolling over in his grave.
