Jada Pinkett Smith added to Ozzfest lineup

Jada Pinkett Smith and her band Wicked Wisdom, described in this MTV News article as a "Christian-leaning rock and soul hybrid" have been added to this year's second stage line-up. Metal fans will no doubt be delighted to learn that the band was the opening act for Britney Spears' 2004 European tour. I'm sure bands like Mastodon and The Haunted are worried about being be blown off the stage by these ferocious headbangers.

Now, I can't say that I've heard Wicked Wisdom, but if this article is any indication they don't seem like a really good fit for Ozzfest. Now, maybe I'm wrong and there are some Ozzfest attendees out there who want to hear Jada Pinkett Smith sing about growing up with Tupac Shakur and how young girls should feel good about themselves. After all, people have gone to Ozzfest in previous years and actually paid money to subject themselves to the music of Limp Bizkit and Korn, so there's no accounting for taste. Still, I can't see this going over well, although I'm sure many people will have a great time throwing things at the band.

Poor things better be wearing their chain mail and jousting armor for protection from the hordes of sunburnt, inebriated goons who will surely be looking to ruin their day. That is, if the masses can take their attention away from throwing up on my sneakers and shouting at the haggard drug adddict/former strippers in the crowd to flash them their sorry flapjacks enough to pay attention to whose playing on stage. Actually though, dressing up like midieval knights would be very metal!

Anthony, please sir, do enlighten me!

Due to my not knowing the difference between good and bad music, yesterday I purchased both Exile on Main Street AND the Josh Gracin CD!!!!! Please, please help me, as I know I cannot help myself!

Any advice or tips you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Perhaps, we could meet over Starbucks and muffins, and you could read me your top ten lists while I gaze adoringly into your soulful, all knowing eyes?
