iTunes Chart Watch: Black Eyed Peas and The Jonas Brothers Top This Week's iTunes Charts

Part of: iTunes Chart Watch

The worst idea in the history of retail is the ludicrous notion that the customer is always right.  What a load of bollocks.  Stop and think about it: your mother-in-law is a customer and she still doesn't know the difference between a VHS and a DVD.  Your degenerate cousin is a customer and he's legally retarded.  The customer gets to make the choice but sometimes it's a bad one, reminding me of the DirectTV commercial where Ed Begley Jr. suggests firing the customer.

When I look at Top 10 lists like we have this week, I want to fire some customers.

First up, our singles.  The Black Eyed Peas continue their death grip on the top two slots.  Fergalicious or Fugatrocious?  Do you have to ask?

We do have a new track added to our Top 10 this week.  Drake's "Best I Ever Had" checks in at #3.  Perhaps showing my age (among other things), I was curious if this was a bad pop remake of an average (at best) Vertical Horizon song of the same name.  Nope.  It's something awful in its own right.  Lady GaGa is down to one song in the Top 10 this week, while Shinedown and Katy Perry maintain their position at the lower reaches of the chart.

Here are your iTunes Music Store Top 10 Singles for the week ending June 22.

Singles:

1. "I Gotta Feeling," Black Eyed Peas

2. "Boom Boom Pow," Black Eyed Peas

3. "Best I Ever Had," Drake

4. "Fire Burning," Sean Kingston

5. "LoveGame," Lady GaGa

6. "Knock You Down," Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Keri Hilson

7. "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho, More English Extended Mix)," Pitbull

8. "Waking Up In Vegas," Katy Perry

9. "Second Chance," Shinedown

10. "Every Girl," Young Money

Surprising absolutely no one, The Jonas Brothers' new record tops the album charts this week.  That makes them the third new #1 in the last three weeks. The previous two albums to top the charts come in at second and third, respectively. Pete Yorn's new album actually comes out this week, but pre-orders for Back & Fourth placed him fifth this week.
