Growing Old Disgracefully and its associated guest musicians are in countdown to this weekend's stint in the studio. A track-listing has been decided, as well as a few songs in case we have time. Final lyrics have been set, and rehearsing is focused. Meanwhile others have been doing the press stuff for the band; letting people know that we will be there. This is when I moved from being merely a lyricist and big-mouth to a true rock frontman. Fortunately for me we have plenty of people with good voices should my pipes not be able to take the hectic and grueling schedule. John Haithwaite asked me at 3am on Saturday night if I was nervous? Far from it...I can't bloody wait to get in there and start laying these creations stuck in my head down.
