Thank you very much for your kind words. I really do not worry about what I cannot control. What I CAN CONTROL is maintaining my voice and healthy lifestyle and if I do that and throw in a lot of positive energy, I am confident I can keep going at this for many more years.
How do reviews effect you?
They don’t because I do not read them. Ritchie Blackmore always said 'If you believe a good review you have to believe the bad ones also'. I do not fall into the trap of reading my own reviews. That is not meant to disrespect journalists and reviewers. The journalists should be writing with the hope their readers will read the review and they should not be worried about what I think. I am only one person.
Is there space left for 'normal day to day life' for Joe Lynn Turner? Is it hard getting back to it after a tour? you seem constantly busy...
To be honest, I do not have a lot of free time but I love my work and love it that I am being paid to do what I love. Does it get any better than that?
You've played in front of Russian Presidents, on the world's biggest stages, with some of the biggest bands and have a huge and highly deserved reputation. Was there a moment in time when you knew you had arrived?
That moment would have been way back in the Rainbow days when I played Madison Square Garden for the first time. That was the venue I had gone to so many times and had been inspired by great artists like Grand Funk Railroad. Now, I was playing that venue with Rainbow. Because I grew up so close to New York City this meant a lot to me, personally and professionally. I knew I had arrived.
Thanks Joe, not only for being kind enough to take time out for this interview, but also for the continuing music and good times too. Here's to the future.
Jeff, many thanks to you, also! Thanks for your time and your support and thanks to your readers as well! Peace!

Joe Lynn Turner is from Jersey, not Europe. fire your fact checker
2 - Christopher Rose
Could somebody point out where it says JLT is from Europe?
Worried Europeans want to know!
3 - Jordan "Boss" Richardson
I don't think it says that, Christopher. I think DiceMan needs to fire his reader.

Thanks everyone - I linked the interview to my review of the album 'Live In Germany' which starts with:- 'Despite the fact that he was born in New Jersey, I am going to try and present a case for including Joe Lynn Turner's latest live CD in the 'Eurorock' section!' - I was having a bit of fun with the Deep Purple, Rainbow, Live in Germany angle - In the interview itself he talks of where he comes from when discussing the first time he played Madison Square Garden in NYC.
Hope you enjoyed the interview anyway. Thanks again for reading it and taking the time to reply.
Best wishes, Jeff

Thanks. I thought that people might have some comments about the actual interview - not what column it is in.
