Holy Guero - Beck Is Back!

Solo artist Beck is still set to release his newest musical offering "Guero," on March 29, 2005. Currently there is a hot story circulating that the album was leaked early onto the Internet. Allegedly, an unmixed version of the CD somehow leaked out sometime last week.

www.beck.com reports the first single off “Guero” will be “E-Pro” which should be hitting the air on radio stations in February. The new album issaid to be a little more up-tempo than Beck’s last album, “Sea Change”, but perhaps more accessible than his most popular “Odelay”.

Guest stars on the CD include The Dust Brothers and Jack White.

Track Listing:

Que Onda Guero

Oh man, I can't wait for this. Every new Beck album is a unique and varied slice of genius. I found Sea Change to be a mature and polished piece of art, but it's not the type of album I'm going to throw into the regular rotation for kicks. I'm looking forward to a return to fun, off-beat takes on all manner of musical genres and pop culture.

I have heard the new Beck album. It is still growing on me. So, you might be wondering "does is sound like sea change or midnight vultures or odelay or mutations?" The answer is yes. Sounds like all of 'em.
