Google gives back. Google will be giving 1% of the profits from its initial public stock offering and 1% of its annual profits to charitable work. This will be organized under an organization called Google.org.

Britney pulls bra from eBay auction. A jewel encrusted bra worn by Britney in an ad to promote her HBO special was pulled because of some confusion. The bra was up for auction to raise money for hurricane Katrina. This is the second time that the bra has been pulled from auction. The first time it was pulled because it violated eBay’s policy of selling used delicates.

Fall Out Boy try to downplay Killers feud Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz had commented on his recording company’s website about the fight and is now saying that there is no problem between them. Neither band representatives commented.

Carl Barat may have to rename band. Carl Barat, formerly of the Libertines, may have to rename his band because another UK band has filed a copyright on the name Dirty Pretty Things. Its not clear if the band’s claim will hold up in court.

    Perhaps Carl should be choosing another name for his band because the first one he came up with is fucking stupid.
