Google Denies YouTube legal rumors
Google’s Chief Executive Officer Eric Schmidt has denied that it has set aside money to settle copyright claims as part of its deal to buy YouTube Inc. The rumor was started by an anonymous blogger who said that Google had set aside $500 million out of its $1.65 Billion takeover for claims made by media companies.
Myspace videos could have Adware
A security company has warned that several Myspace pages have videos that when played install Adware. The videos appear to be YouTube videos but they are actually hosted by a YouTube copycat, youtube.info. Clicking on the video redirects the user and opens Windows media player and asks users to accept a license agreement.
Bright Eyes recording next album
Bright Eyes has begun recording his next album. Conor Oberst is at a studio in Nashville and says that the next album will be getting back to folk. The album is said to revolve around themes of apocalypse. This record is a follow up to the dual release last year of Digital Ash in the Digital Urn and I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning.
