GNR Blows Off Philly

Guns N' Roses didn't bother to show up Friday night for their scheduled Philadelphia concert. 14,000 fans got pissed:

Furious fans at a sold-out rock show went into a bottle-throwing frenzy when Guns N' Roses failed to appear, and police were called to the concert arena.

Witnesses at the First Union Center Friday night reported angry fans yelling and cursing, some throwing bottles and chairs, and ripping up plants when the hard-rock band fronted by Axl Rose stood them up.

Several fights were also reported - but a spokesman for the arena operator denied the accounts.

    Police reported no major injuries.

A spokesman for the arena operator said officials were called shortly after 11 p.m. and told one member of Guns N' Roses was ill, and that the band would not be able to perform.

He said he did not know which member was sick. [NY Post]

Rose didn't show up for a Vancouver show November 7 - twice in two months looks like a pattern.

I like Guns N' Roses musically, but always disliked Rose's voice. He would be the one member of the band I'd like to see them perform without.

Remind me again why people are going to see this has-been who is notorious for being late or blowing off shows??? Sheesh - you'd think people would have learned the first go-around. Funny how he doesn't think he has to change...
