If you are looking for fresh new country talent, check Kate and Kacey Coppola. I bought a lot of their songs off iTunes yesterday and I have been listening to them all day. The twin sisters not only look like supermodels, but they can really sing. They are signed to the same label as Taylor Swift and Jack Ingram — Big Machine Records.
Their single “Dreaming Love” is fun and catchy. I am going to start requesting this to the local radio station. Their voices, their melody … it’s all in such a perfect harmony. I’m very impressed.
I am also a big fan of “Two Are Better Than One.” From the first moment, I could tell that this would be one of my clear favorites. I like it for the same reason as “Dreaming Love.” It’s just fun.
You know when you buy a song that’s live, it has all of that junky applause that just distracts from the beauty of the song? Well, I own two of their live songs, “Whole Lotta Gone” and “Feel Kinda Feeling.” These two songs are of the same quality of their studio music. The arrangement on “Feel Kinda Feeling” is very beautiful.
You don’t believe me that these two will be big? They are so good that they are being featured at the Grand Ole Opry this Friday, May 8th. They will perform “Dreaming Love” at 7PM. You can buy tickets at the Opry website or call 615-871-OPRY.
“I haven't actually jumped up and down and screamed since I was a little girl, but when Kate and I found out we were singing at the Grand Ole Opry that's exactly what I did,” said Kacey.
Kate added, “Every single artist that we have loved, listened to, and wanted to emulate has graced the Opry stage. It is where the legends, traditions, and foundations of Country Music started, and we can't wait to get up on the Opry Stage and sing our hearts out... and probably tear up a little too!”
Kate and Kacey have done shows with Little Big Town and opened for Rodney Atkins (“It’s America”).
I really have to say I love these two. I think they will go far and I hope they go far. It’s not only me though: Country Weekly named Kate and Kacey “One’s to Watch in 2009.” I totally agree.
