Anyway, Adorata basically carries on Saturnalia’s nearly cryptic air. If you, like us, smelled a sweet fragrance about Dulli on Saturnalia, that alluring stench is still unmistakable here, even when the pair borrows from its influences, covering six out of eight tracks that might as well be their own. The EP is a pre-cursor to Saturnalia really, recorded almost entirely during said LP’s sessions, which perhaps, set, and, fingers crossed, grounded the duo, for continuing collaborations. Because, we’ll just say it, offering something new (2 previously unreleased tracks), borrowed (6 covers) and brilliantly bluesy (just listen to “St. James Infirmary” or “We Have Met Before”), Adorata verges on musical matrimony, or at least the very next best thing — a mutually beneficial relationship for all partners involved (including us fans). Clearly, it’s safe to say that we all have a little gutter in us, and some bands are just better at bringing out our stars. And we guess this means we’ve answered some of our own questions.
Third of all, and off topic, these twins are hoping to catch-up with the Gutter Twins at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on February 10. And, because we do have an idealistic tendency to look at the stars, we're sort of hoping a couple of tickets will soon fall our way.
Okay, we guess that’s the whole all.
