eEye Digital Security to introduce free version of its blink security technology
eEye Digital Security has announced that it will introduce a version of its Blink endpoint security technology that has been developed for non-commercial users. The software will be offered for free. It is the first security product that will be offered for free that offers multiple layers of security.
Keane to release single on memory stick
The band Keane have announced that their next single will be offered on memory stick as well as a CD. The memory stick will be 512 Mb and will include a digital version of the song, three screen savers and a copy of the video. The single to be released is “Nothing in My Way” which is the third single off of the album Under the Iron Sea. Only 1,500 of the USB memory sticks are being issued.
Internet Society of China suggests “Real Name” blog policy
The Internet Society of China is recommending to the Chinese government that bloggers be required to use their real names when they register for blogs. Although no decisions have been made about the policy, the society is suggesting that it is inevitable. The policy would allow bloggers to use a pseudonym online, with their real name only being mandatory in the registration process.
