Farm-Aid Benefit to Land in New York
Farm-Aid has announced that its benefit concert set for later this year will be played in New York City. The concert will be held on September 9th on Randalls Island. The lineup is set to include co-founders Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp along with Dave Matthews and Neil Young. The tickets for the show are set to go on sale at 10 am on Saturday morning. Farm-Aid has raised more than $30 million for farmers since its inception 1985.
Yahoo Inc. has announced that it will acquire the website Rivals.com. The website for fans of high school and college sports teams will make Yahoo the top when it comes to sports sites. Rivals.com operates the sites of 105 college team sites as well as 48 regional sites that have allowed around 2 million users keep track of their favorite local teams. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Morrissey Ponders Warner Bros. Offer
Morrissey says that he has plans to record a new album, even though he currently doesn't have a record deal. The singer has stated that he has been offered a deal by Warner Bros. The singer has been offered the chance to tour for the rest of the year or to head to the studio, having also been offered some dates such places as Iran, New Zealand and South Africa.
