Many Blogcritics regulars were surprised when a moderately complimentary and seemingly innocuous review of the debut album of boy-band R & B group B5 ignited torrents of adulations from what seemed to be hundreds of young girls. The comment "ALL YALL GIRLS BEAT OVER BRYAN CAUSE HE IS MINE AND IF YALL SAY SOMETHING 2 ME I WILL COME BACK AT U," is somewhat typical of the comments, more than 800 of which have been posted since last summer. The B5 post has been among the most commented on since last July.
It seems that the furor is not limited to internet discussion. At a free B5 concert at a mall in Minnesota, the stage was swarmed by over 2,000 female fans. I saw this on Fox News this morning, which brought it to my attention, but apparently the ten security guards were insufficient.
Instead, 70 police officers from 23 surrounding towns had to converge on the scene of the chaos. They took 45 minutes to clear the crowd away.
The record producers behind the group have found a lucrative untapped market for an R & B boy band, and it's hard to know how long the groups enormous popularity will last-- probably until their current fan base grows out of them.

I love B5 so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so soooooooooooooo much they are so so so soooooooooooo HOTT!!!!!! People tells me that i am obsessed because i have all my walls in my room ful of B5 including my bedroom door and closet door one wall is all bryan and another is all kelly and another is all carnell another is all patrick and my closet door is all dustin and my bedroom door has 1 huge partick poster and a bunch of pictures of the whole group. does that mean i am obsessed?

I love me some B5 in all, but i wouldn't do no crazy stuff like that. What fan would want to hurt them like that. Who ever would is not considered a true fan. Yes, i know we all love B5,and sometimes our minds go wild over them, but when you think about it do you want them to know you as some crazy girl that nearly jumped them?I know i wouldn't. See they started the Jingle Jam here in Indiana but i didn't have chance to go cuz it was my parents anniversary.Hopefully they'll be here again sometime soon. And if not I'll still love me some B5 and support them. I'm especially gettin their new album on Nov. 22. Be a B5 fan 4 life. Just dont go crazy like them Minnesota girls.
