Digital magazine service launched
Exact Editions has launched a trial service that would give publishers an online replica of their print magazines. The Literary Review, the Spectator, the Scientist and the London Review of Books are available from the Exact Editions website. This is made possible by a scaleable technology platform that replicates exact copies of the magazine for distribution and searching.
In a joint effort between Swiss and Belgian police, Edonkey’s largest file index was seized. The server was located in Belgium and known as Razorback2. It indexed more than 170 million files and sharing servers on the Edonkey system.
Ericsson has filed a patent suit against Samsung Electronics alleging patent infringement. They have been in negotiations over renewal license agreements. Samsung is allegedly using mobile phone patents without the required licenses. Legal battles over patent infringement is common in the tech sector where a lot of money is spent on research and development.
