So, I’m sitting on my porch listening to Evergreen Terrace’s Sincerity is an Easy Disguise in This Business. To begin with its pretty rockin’. If you were a hardcore kid you could dance to this. The first two tracks, as is typical of hardcore, moves at break neck speed towards God only knows what and I love that. And, then I got to track three and I thought, “Haven’t I heard this before?” I skipped back to track one, forward to three, back to one. Well, maybe I've not heard exactly this, but it was pretty close. From there, my listening experience went down hill.
This CD is unfortunately a lot of the same thing on repeat. Unintelligible screaming followed by a chorus that is one or two lines over and over again. There weren’t even any cool breakdowns or guitar riffs worth mentioning, just a certain sense of auditory deja vu. I’m a little disappointed.
