It’s been more than 30 years since Tony Christie released his last album. On November 6, the Yorkshire born “King of Retro-Cool” will be releasing his new album, Simply In Love, on the Gut Records label. Dedicated to Sue, his wife of almost 40 years, as a gesture of true love on the eve of their 40th wedding anniversary, Simply In Love is a superb collection of classic love songs.
Tony released his first U.K. single, “Life’s Too Good To Waste,” back in 1966, but it didn’t have much success on the U.K. charts. It wasn’t until the single, “I Did What I Did For Maria,” which topped the charts at #2 in 1971, that Tony found stardom in Britain and Europe. It was the re-release of his single “Is This The Way To Amarillo” as the theme for the 2005 Comic Relief charity that placed Tony Christie back into the public consciousness. The song spent seven weeks in
the top spot on U.K. charts.
And now Yorkshire’s “King Of Retro-Cool” is offering you the chance to win his newest album, Simply In Love. Tony Christie and Blogcritics.org are happy to present you with the opportunity to win one of four Simply In Love CDs. To enter, simply send an email with the subject line “Tony Christie giveaway” including your name and full address to BCgiveaway@gmail.com. Entries must be in by midnight on November 10, 2006. This contest is open to everyone. Winners will be notified by email and in the comments section.

You are an excellent contest supervisor. That's a good task for a junior under-assistant music editor.

HA! Do you really think they would trust such an important task to an junior under assistant music editor. I think not!
