Enrique Iglesias to Bring Euphoria to the Bay Area - Page 2

When it comes to the visual aspect of his show, Iglesias wants it to come across as seemingly simple and allow people to remember certain elements of the performance.

"I like shows when they look simple, but when you truly analyze them, you could tell there was a lot of intricacy when it came down to designing the show," he said. "But it’s more about being able to create certain moods and songs so you make sure that when the audience leaves, each song has a different mood and a different color and a different style. You can actually remember the songs by what colors we used or how we used the lighting or how we used the video. That for me is extremely important, but at the same time, making it look very simple. So, the energy is focused a lot on the band and myself more than having a thousand dancers up on stage."

Along with taking part in creating the stage and setting the mood for his shows, another well-known luxury for performers is their rider, which can contain various dressing room specifications. However, Iglesias could only think of one thing that he sometimes ask for.

"I don’t really ask for anything in particular," he revealed. "I do sometimes [ask for] a bottle of rum because I’ll have one or two shots of rum, because it will help me with the nerves a bit before I go on stage."

Enrique Iglesias' Euphoria tour next stop will be at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA on October 7.
