Eminem Live From New York City's Showtime Debut

In conjunction with the release of his best of the greatest hits album, Curtain Call, Showtime will be broadcasting an uncensored and uncut show from Eminem's sold-out Anger Management Tour. Eminem Live From New York City will premiere Dec 3, at 9:00 PM (ET/PT).

The concert, which was filmed last August at Madison Square Gardens, is seventy-five minutes long and includes songs from his recent release,Encore, including "Lose Yourself," the song that won him an Academy Award.

Eminem exploded into the rap music scene in 1999 under the guidance of Dr. Dre. His debut album, "The Slim Shady LP" sold five million records to date and won the artist two Grammy awards. Though he is criticized for his brutally honest lyrics, his subsequent CDs, The Marshal Matters LP and The Eminem Show have sold more then ten million copies to date. He has been nominated for two American Music Awards this year: Favorite Male Artist – Hip-Hop, and Favorite Album – Hip Hop for Encore

The artists troubled childhood became the subject matter of his film debut, 8 Mile. In 2004, he was the first artist to achieve the goal of having a number one ranked movie, number one ranked soundtrack and number one ranked album (Encore) all in the same year.

The concert was directed by Grammy award nominated director Hamish Hamilton, who is well known for his work on concert videos for such artists as Madonna, U2, Peter Gabriel, and Norah Jones.

Eminem is an absoultely genius. He is the greatest rapper of all time in my opinion. And even though he verbally bashes people, he is rapping about his life and the people who ruined his life and that is what I love most about him; he is real and what he talks about his real. Eminem, you are an absolutely genius and God of song!!!

    2Pac sucks. Eminem forever.

Why was Eminem worst, because you say it? Or because any Eminem concert sells out much more quickly than any trash Jay-Z concert?
