Embraced An Orchestrated Failure

There are a lot of hardcore bands out there today who just happen to be able to sing. Theory 8 recording artist, Embraced, is a band with an incredible vocalist, who just happens to be able to do hardcore.

From the outset of their freshman effort, An Orchestrated Failure, the lines are drawn, and the vocal abilities of the lead singer are proven. A few metal-core riffs here, a sprinkling of double bass there, and all of a sudden you have the makings of an incredibly talented collaborative effort.

Lyrically speaking, these guys have a goal in the back of their minds that seems to be driving them. “It’s your last so save your breath, your words your lies, I’m sick to death” from Violet Garden, and “how does it feel to know that you are going to burn, feel the flesh fall off, fall off onto the floor” from Saratoga, give the feeling that the lyricist has a vendetta—some type of emotional baggage that he carries as a grudge against someone, somewhere.

All in all, this album is a great effort, from a young band. The production quality left a bit to be desired, and some of the mixing wasn’t the greatest either, but for the most part, an excellent example of what the music scene is all about—passion.
