Elvin Bishop, Steve Miller Band Push Into Top 10; Perkins & Smith Hold #1 At Blues Radio - Page 2

Part of: Blues Power Rankings

I would be remiss if I didn't take a moment to reflect on the sad news of yesterday when we learned guitarist Phillip Walker passed away at the age of 73 in Palm Springs, California.  Walker's career spanned more than 50 years and during those decades he crossed paths and shared the stage with many of the greatest names in blues history, Etta James and Lowell Fulson among them, and also played alongside Little Richard.

I'm having a hard time with the fact that Chris & Patrick aren't on the charts. That CD is getting some serious play but not charting? I call shenanigans.

Glad to see some of my favorites on there, though.

I've been surprised and disappointed their CD hasn't charted higher. Some weeks its on there in the lower reaches and some weeks it's not on there at all. It's such a good CD. I thought this one would do big things with the momentum of SATAI and it should because it's great.
