Dinosaur Jr have their equipment nicked
While on tour, Dinosaur Jr. had some of their equipment stolen from their trailer while it was parked outside their hotel. The band is asking anyone with news of their stolen equipment to contact their management. Among the items stolen from the trailer were a number of guitars and cymbals.
Lemonheads announce U.S. tour dates
The Lemonheads have announced tour dates in the U.S. The band will tour the states following its U.K. tour set for this October. The tour will begin in November and will run until the middle of December. As reported with the U.K. tour, the U.S. dates are in support of their self-titled album due in September. Some of the cities the Lemonheads are due to hit include Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Cleveland.
Dutch manufacturer Phillips launch PC-less Skype phone
Phillips Electronics has announced it will introduce its cordless DECT phone that will be able to make Skype Internet calls without being hooked up to a PC. The phone is a world first and should be available by the end of the year.

DinoJr's loss - not to make light of it, but maybe they can make lemonade out of this. It's often said that when the Velvet Underground had all their noisemaking gear from White Light/White Heat was stolen, iit caused then to make their exceptional and subtle self titled third album.
