Dimebag Darrell, the guy that did it all then said fuck it and did it again. In the magazine "Metal Hammer" a few months ago I remember reading something about how he was drunk for 3 days around the time of the Golden God Awards. This crazy mother fucker could shred both on the fucking stage and off it. I'm not one to believe in heaven, hell, or any religion, but if any of that crap is true, I am happy in the knowledge that all the metal fans including Dimebag will be giving Nathan the beating of a lifetime down there.

And lastly a simple solution to the debate of whether concealed weapons should be allowed: how about no guns legal at all amoung the public and solve the problem all together? You don't hear about shootings in the rest of the first world countries...

Slayerfan, that is because you aren't listening mate. A innocent bystander was shot outside the MOBO awards here in London, when two rap group's posses started shooting at each other. A member of the hip-hop group So Solid Crew is being charged with a shooting murder...

BUENO UN GRAN IMPACTO EN MI VIDA, LA MUERTE DE MI GRAN IDOLO. NO TENGO PALABRAS SOLO TENGO LA PENA QUE ESTO ME PRODUCE Y ES ALGO MUY GRANDE Y ALTO Y X TODOS LADOS QUE VOY PIENSO Y NO ME LO PUEDO SACAR DE LA MENTE EL ECHO QUE MATARAN A DIMEBAG COMO PORQUE
    :(

Andrew: yeah sorry mate i know it occurs in the rest of the world, however it is far less frequent and a lot harder to pull off. Anyway, my comment wasn't intended to provoke an argument, it was there to end the one about the "concealed and carry" one or whatever. There is no point arguing over someone that has died: it happened for whatever reasons, we can't help that. Arguing amoung ourselves does nothing though. So this is a request for no more aggression towards each other (don't get me wrong, i'm not greenpeace hippy or summin here) in this post and let it be about Dimebag, not our personal political views.
    Once again RIP Dime.

As a guitarist, I feel a truly deep sense of loss, and wonder why this had to happen to someone so great. The only thing I can come up with is handgun manufacturers and their b#@ch, the NRA.

Folks, call your representive in Congress NOW!!! Tell them how this makes you feel, and where your vote will be next election if they don't do something about it.

Don't let Dimebag's death go in vain!

Like he could not have gotten an illegal gun anyway? You do realise that this guy violated a whole raft of laws when he did this?

Tighter guns laws would not have prevented this tragedy...suggesting as much is clearly rubbish and merely using a horrible event as way of making a political point.

Dimbag was and still is my all time hero. In fact he was basically the whole reason I even started playing the guitar. I hope that that sick son of a bitch who shot him burns in hell. Metal will never ever be the same without him here. I know he maybe gone, but deep down he still lives.
    REST IN PEACE
    WE'LL MISS YOU ALWAYS

Pantera changed my life forever after listening to cowboys from hell.

Dimebag will live on and is probally playing away with the other rock/metal giants like Cliff Burton, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Carr etc

He's a legend and legend's will never die.

I hope the bastard that killed dimebag and those other people burns in hell.

Thanks Dimebag for getting me through
    hard times in life.

Keep rocking as hard as ever bro.

My boys and I from 61 will always remember your hard core playing Dimebag. One of my friends Chris Shaver and my cousin Kenny Tayler met Phil Anselmo
but everybody is always still thinking of the heavy metal experience you gave them

Dimebag is one of the most influential guitarist on me along with dave mustaine it is shame that he had to die for all us to realize how much a hero he was.

Wow, it's so hard to believe it's been 2 years today since metal lost one of it's greatest and influential guitar players. Dime's the reason I started playing guitar. I always felt like he was a guide to his fans. Teaching them to believe in their dreams and push boundaries to bold standards as he did so courageously and with the determination of a true metal hero. My whole heart and soul goes out to his family, friends and fellow fans. He was an amazing man and a real legend to all that had the pleasure of knowing him in some way or another. R.I.P Buddy. We are all a better person for having you in our lives.
