Dave Grohl to guest on new Killing Joke album

Dave Grohl to guest on new Killing Joke album. You mean Killing Joke actually are doing another album? I'll be damned. I jest slightly, for I already knew a new album from Jaz Coleman's merry men was due this year; I'm just surprised the band themselves haven't forgotten about it or haven't done anything to delay it, like, you know, splitting up, then going to Iceland to await the apocalypse. As near as I can tell the album's due out around mid-year. There will apparently also be a hundred-date world tour. Can't wait for it. (As an aside, I've met one of the drummers Coleman hired to play on the Pandemonium album when he was making it in New Zealand. Nice fellow he was, too.)

Killing Joke are one of the best bands aorund, but they never got the credit they deserved.

Nice to hear that they will indeed have a new album this year. I'd heard that it was done already and should be about now, but obviously that's not happening.

Dave Grohl added some great pounding to the latest Queens of the Stone Age album, so he'll work out just find for KJ. I had hoped perhaps Martin Atkins might re-fill the drum seat. God, how I love his drumming! Extremities, Dirt & Various Repressed Emotions, as maligned as it was at the time, is one of my favorite albums of all time, partially due to Atkins' drumming.

I just purchased the album... Mr Grohl does a fantastic job on the drums. All in all, it's a kickass collection.

Be sure and read my review of the album here. It doesn't disappoint (the album, that is.)

Does anyone else think its strange that Killing Joke had a lawsuit against Nirvana for Come As You Are/ Eightees and now are using the drummer from said band?
