Courtney Love Has A New Hole... Record, Leading This Week's New Album Releases

Part of: New Album Releases

I'm easily amused and this week I'm amused by the ebb and flow of new release weeks. Last week my cup runneth over. This week I could cancel my flood insurance and sleep peacefully, but I'm here and you're here so best we talk about something. This week's story is the return of the Widow Cobain. Courtney Love has a new album out and she's dusting off her old moniker for its release. Hole's Nobody's Daughter features none of the other musicians from the band's '90s moniker. While other band members put a little of their personal stamp on the music, Hole was always the C-Love show and it is once again. After years of (mostly) deserved bad press, Nobody's Daughter has gotten some favorable reaction. Does anyone still care? Is anyone still interested in what she has to say, musically? I'm the wrong person to answer that question because I frankly gave nilly a fuck the first time around. I still don't.Let's see... what else am I not buying this week? Ah, yes, we have The Adventures Of Bobby Ray from B.o.B. I'm passing on this one but a lot of you won't if iTunes sales are to be believed. Maybe I shouldn't pass on it. If you want to know more about the album and B.oB, our own Clayton Perry interviewed him. Do your homework, kids, and make your own call.  Clayton also has an interview with Jo Dee Messina, whose new album is also out this week.

We've also got a slew of re-issues this week. Someone decided it's time to churn the Clapton catalog again. His discography has already been remastered. Now bonus tracks are being added to entice you buy. First up are Cream's Disraeli Gears (itself already re-issued in a deluxe package once) and 461 Ocean Blvd. I've got both. I'm saying no here, but they're yours if you want them as is the rest of our list...Alcoholic Faith Mission Let This Be The Last Night We Ali Khan, Masood The Yoga Sessions: Masood Ali Alpha Rev New Morning Avi Buffalo Avi Buffalo B.o.B B.O.B Presents: The Adventures Of Bobby Ray Balkan Beat Box Blue Eyed Black Boy Big Audio Dynamite This Is Big Audio Dynamite Bob Marley & The Wailers Legend / [Rarities Edition] Brian Posehn Fart And Weiner Jokes Britos, Federico Voyage Bullet For My Valnetine Fever Canned Heat Woodstock Homecoming Continuance Carry Ourselves Cosgrove, Miranda Sparks Fly Cosgrove, Miranda Sparks Fly Cream Disraeli Gears / [Rarities Edition] Daddy Yankee Daddy Yankee Mundial Datta, Reema Here's My Heart Devastations Devastations Dodsferd / Mortovatis Until Your World Go Down Dolly Live From London / [Cd/Dvd Combo] Dolly 9 To 5 - The Musical Drowning Pool Drowning Pool Eric Clapton 461 Ocean Blvd / [Rarities Edition] Fats Waller Performance / [2 Cd] Freddy Fender Absolutely The Best Of Freddy Fender / [2 Cd] Frog Eyes Paul S Tomb: A Triumph Gannon, Sharon Sharanam Gloryland 2: Bluegrass Gospel Classics Gloryland 2: Bluegrass Gospel Classics Gogol Bordello Transcontinetnal Hustle Hole Nobody's Daughter Jacky Terrasson Push Jim Brickman Never Alone / [Cd/Dvd Combo] Jo Dee Messina Unmistakable Love Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights Pardon Me Katrina & The Waves Katrina & The Waves Katrina & The Waves Katrina & The Waves 2 King, Carole The Essential Carole King Landau, Michael / Robben Ford Renegade Creation Lonestar Party Heard Around The World Lynyrd Skynyrd One More From The Road / [Rarities Edition] Malin, Jesse And The St. Marks Love It To Life Marvin Gaye I Want You / [Rarities Edition] Mary Chapin Carpenter The Age Of Miracles Mcsherry, John Soma Meat Loaf Bat Out Of Hell Ii: Back Into Hell / [Rarities Edition] Melissa Etheridge Fearless Love Mynabirds, The What We Lose In The Fire We Ga Newman, David To Be Home Osborne, Anders American Patchwork P.B.Maa Unconditional Peter Frampton Thank You Mr. Churchill Piebald Volume 1 (2cd) Pipestone As The Rez Turns - Round Dance Rew, Kimberly The Bible Of Bop Silas Jr., Wayne Unconditional - Round Dance So Small Black Small Black Ep Something Corporate Played In Space! that Balkan Beat Box record is really a load of fun.

i also want the Freddie Fender collection because i only have one record on vinyl and every so often i have the urge to hear "Third Rate Romance".

as for Hole...i never understood the appeal of the first record. Celebrity Skin was actually great, but let's be honest here...it was a Billy Corgan record.

gees, what a duo. they get together, make an album...and then part and spend the next several years calling each other names.

I don't think Courtney has ever crossed a bridge she hasn't burned and she may not even be the most difficult person in that "relationship."

Courtney's just jealous that she doesn't look as good in mom-jeans as Billy's girlfriend Jessica Simpson.

Ah, yes, well done, Tom. We needed a hypotenuse in this asshole triangle. Welcome to geometry class, Jess.
