Virgin Fest 2008 has been the best to date and blew both of the previous years away. The band balance between the days was perfect. I felt full each evening from seeing amazing acts. My summer is now complete, thanks to this festival.
I overheard someone state to their friend “all these festivals are the same, they never change” and all I could think was how wrong he was. If festivals were all the same than people would not dedicate their weekends and hard earned cash to enjoy themselves in the middle of a horse race track. Who can come home from a weekend and say they saw the Foo Fighters, Iggy Pop, and Nine Inch Nails all in one weekend?
Sir Richard Branson has once again provided a weekend of music and entertainment memories that will last me a lifetime. Props to him and the wonder staff that surrounded the entire race track making sure things went along so smoothly. All I can think about now is who is on the line up for 2009?

Wasn't STP there?

I have to say, I was very impressed with the green aspect of the festival as well. Hopefully all festivals in the future will follow this example and build on it.
