I've been to Coachella once and it was one of the most incredible nights of my life! The music is bumping and the people are all there to have fun. This is a great experience for anybody that loves music, not just one genre of music. I would suggest to attend this years Coachella due to the large turn out of artist and the venue is awsome. I will try to make it out from San francisco this year and have another fantastic time.

The two Erics have a fake conversation for the world. You both covered this in the Yahoo group, no? He's covering it. You both already know that.
C'mon don't fake the fake.

He started it...

I had a blast last year (the greatest geek chic experience of all time), but I'm not sold on this year yet. I'm thinking I will probably save the money for some other trip.
Day 2 is definitely worth it (especially if you're in SoCal) for NIN, New Order, Prodigy and Arcade Fire. I don't think Day 1's worth $80 -- the only person worth seeing is Armin Van Buuren and Bauhaus hasn't even confirmed yet.
The DJ/EDM lineup looks especially weak, which is bad because the Sahara Tent was a good fall-back last year to get out of the sun.
The festival itself has a great vibe and lots of hot chicks who are high and fun to party with, but lots of traffic.
That is all.

Oh, and you'll bump into lots of random celebrities moving through the crowds like Jared Leto looking really, really relaxed.
That is all.

I'd actually vote for Day One if I had to choose, on the strength of Weezer and Wilco alone.
Bob - I hope you didn't take advantage of any of the high pretty young ladies...

I wouldn't know Jared Leto if he wore a name tag

Is this festival known for as a place to hook up with lots of people? (Do you reccomend camping) . Or are most people really there for the music? people who have gone before?

I've heard it described as "hook up central," but with the a heavy accent on the 'tral' of "central." Take that for what it's worth.
