CD review: Who needs vocals?

Leadstar
Elias Viljanen
Lion

Imagine a rather good Scandi-rock CD with no vocals and you would be close to this release from Lion Music. Normally instrumentals can be a dull and tiresome for all but the most direhard of fret-botherer. Instead on this release we actually have songs; including an excellent cover of 'Hello' by Lionel Ritchie. Needless to saying the playing on here is rather impressive. Other standout tracks include 'Evilized'. Guests musicians include Lacu Lahtinen from Hanoi Rocks & Janne Juutinen of Masterstroke amongst others. This is a classy release for the melodic metal/scandi-rock fan. When its this good who gives a toss there is not one warbling over the top of it?
