What’s the 4-1-1?
San Diego singer/songwriter releases her solo debut.
Genre
Pop-rock / alternative / acoustic
The Good
“Love Love Love” has a soulful acoustic bounce to it. “The Story” starts of with a serine guitar & vocal section that gives way to upbeat rhythms. Prettyman’s vocals are soothing and enthusiastic. Tristan pairs up with Jason Mraz on “Shy That Way." The contrasts of their vocal tones compliment each other. You can really hear the musical chemistry between them. “Please” has sort of a country twang to it with its slide guitar licks and lively vocals. “Song for the Rich” is ballad of woe set to just one well-played guitar arrangement. On “Simple as it Should Be," Tristan explains how great her life is with someone special in her life, whether they are together or apart.
The Bad
Nothing notable
The Verdict
If you’re sick of all the pop-princesses that have been shoved down your throat over the years, and you want a woman who can play the guitar and write her own intelligent and meaningful lyrics, then Tristan is your gal.
Did You Know?
Tristan was inspired to write and perform music after hearing Ani DiFranco’s Puddle Dive.

Glad you like a girl who can sing well, play guitar, write meaningful lyrics and is from San Diego.
ALYSSA JACEY should also be "your gal" and in fact, you just might like her lyrics even better! Although new at playing guitar, she KILLS IT in the writing department and sings like Joss Stone meets Sarah Mclaughlin who meets Sheryl Crow with a side of Jewel but not so yodel-y:)
CHECK OUT ALYSSA JACEY or on myspace ALYSSA'S FULL LENGTH ALBUM, 'BitterSweet' will be out in January of 2007...
