After living with Neil Young's Living With War since Friday, the verdict is in. Listen here to render your own.

The new Neil Young album Living With War has created a firestorm of controversy, and it isn't even in record stores yet. The latest word on that seems to suggest a soft release date of May 8, which would put the CD in stores by this Monday or Tuesday — the day most retail outlets adhere to as a rule.…

Why didn't Neil get nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize ? He's so Peaceful, what with all those Blacks now living on his Ranch in Northern California that he personally picked up one of his many Tour Busses. To say nothing of all the Food he's fed them. What about all those Farm Aid Checks flowing ? And those (2) Classic Albums Greendale and Living with War which trash the United States, Oh how proud the Nobel Committee must be. But no nomination, hummm ? Oh Neil, you're so Fucking Peaceful.

    By The Associated Press (2/5/07)

From Minnesota to New York, some schoolchildren are getting an extra long weekend because of the bitter chill that has spread over the eastern half of the country.

Wind chills are minus 25 degrees or lower and some high temperatures today aren't expected to climb above zero.

Experts say exposed skin can get frostbite and school officials didn't want kids outside waiting for buses.

Maine is getting hammered with wind chills forecast as low as minus 45 by tonight in the western mountains.

In Michigan, there could be insult added to injury with winter storm warnings for most of the eastern Upper Peninsula and the northwest Lower Peninsula.

Amtrak shut down passenger train service in upstate New York west of Albany and numerous schools closed due to whiteouts from lake-effect snow and below zero wind chills.

HOW CAN THIS BE WITH GLOBAL WARMING DESTROYING EVERYTHING IN IT'S PATH ?? HOW CAN THIS BE NEIL ?

Hummmm, now, lets see. If it's below 32 degrees, it's gonna freeze, soooo, How can Ice Melt in the Artic if the High is (ZERO) as far south as New York ? Could Global Warming be a HOAX Neil ? Might you have been hood winked ? If we're on track for the coldest February on Record, how can there be Global Warming ?

ANSWER: Neil, you're a LIAR, or DUMB OR both.

The album has some awsome songs, and they accurately reflect the sick-and-tired spirit of most Americans.

EVeryoen is sick of the rhetoric and the bullshit elitist political system in America. Our governmental system is such a lame sham.

Democracy? Haha.. really... it's elitist, corporate, bullshit. Neil young takes aim a George Bush because he personifies the rediculous state of America today.

For those who havent heard his album, Young is simply pointing out that George Bush is a bafoon, and how sickening that this idiot is running our country.

Don't we all agree on this point? lets move on.

I agree, but how can we move on when "I'm Living with War Everyday"?

yeah, the ice is melting. der.

and we're talking AVERAGE temperatures over YEARS, not some cold snap in buffalo.

whether or not it's natural, i can't say either way, i think it's obvious that we need to do what we can to lessen the impact we have on our climate or atmosphere or whatever. why not? how could it hurt to be a little cleaner?

    Glen,
Are you now complaining about ticket prices over on Thrasher? Don't let spanktherubbermonkey go trolling over there now.
Maybe Neil needs to make some money up on the LWW album. Although I thought it was and is a rocking album with a GREAT message, I guess Rush Limbaugh and paranoids were able to scare the masses off.
Pay the price enjoy the show and then write a few more reviews to pay it off :-)

Actually I'm complaining about them HERE Marv. Thrasher just picked up the story (he's also issued me a challenge to respond -- which will be forthcoming).

Say hi to the ol' rubber mookster for me okay?

I suppose you won't be denied and I'm certain you won't be disappointed at the show.
Can't believe I'm not going myself, but I saw a solo acoustic Neil at the Wiltern Theater in LA a few years back and it was well worth the price. I'll be seeing Neil at the Bridge School in a few weeks, so that'll do me for a while.

He returneth with a vengence. Chrome Dreams II seems to be apolitical. Thank goodness. In spirit road we see a combination of Mansion on the hill feel with the good ol' Hey Hey My My (Rust Never Sleeps) Riff. Dirty Ol' Man is Pice of Crap (Sleeps with Angels) re-written, an obvious throw away. Beautiful Blue bird is Natural Beauty (Harvest Moon)re-written. Hidden path is Change your Mind / Down by the River (Sleeps with Angels / Everybody knows this is Nowhere respectively)re-written. The Way is re-written from a song on Hawks and Doves called Lost in Space. Got your number Neil Young. I'm no better than you for what I've shown.

The Believer-left over crap from Are you Passionate. Ordinary People-Left over from the Bluenotes era. That's a good song.

By the way Marv, Glenn isn't telling the Mookster anything he doesnt already know. Limousine Liberals always jack their prices. The Hype with Neil Young is that every album he puts out is his "Greatest Album ever". Though most of his albums don't even go Gold. No wonder Geffen sued him. What kind of artist puts out records intentionally not to sell ? Remember how ol' Neil would rail against Ticketmaster, now he can rail against himself. Limousine Liberals as fake as the day is long.

And don't think he don't write off "The Bridge School" and "Farm Aide" concerts from his Taxes. Because he does. I got people in Texas still waiting for that Farm Aide Check.

Oh and BTW, Natural Beauty is a re-write of the original of the International Crazy Harvesters classic "Beautiful Blue Bird". So now it's a re-write of itself. Just want to make it clear that I knew that as most of you fledgling Neil fans would'nt. TeeHeeHee.

    Down with Liberalism !

Rather ironic you would call Neil out for repeating himself when all your posts are a repeat of your previous work, Mook.

Neil Young, don't know what to say to you bro. What do you say now that we found out that the person that outed Valarie Plame was a big fat Democrat ? Who's the man that hired all the Criminals ? Wasn't Bush was it ? You Liberals destroyed Scooter Libby's life over something he did not do. I'll bet Former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage is all broken up over it. Are you broken up over it ? Every fuckin thing you Liberals touch turns to shit. Everything you Liberals try brings hardship. All anyone needs is time to prove that. A look to modern history will prove it too. How many illegals live at your place there Neil ? How many Katrina victims set up at your place there Neil ? Anwar Neil ? No one would ever want to go there because there's nothing there. All we want is to drill a couple of holes, that's it. This way we can be a lot more energy independent but you Libs can't have America be strong can you Neil ? You spit in the face of the country that has made you a near Billionaire. You and your MASH pal Mike Ferrell and that Ed Asner and Meat Head from All in the Family, COMMUNIST AMERICA HATERS THROUGH AND THROUGH, All of you. You wrote some great songs but none the less, you make me Sick.

I think Canadians should give Canada back to the Indians in light of what just happened. I also think that a super highway should be build at Canadian expense from Canada to Mexico beacuse the Mexican people have a right to work in Canada. I think Neil Young would agree.

I think you're holding Neil Young up to rather unrealistic standards, Mookey. He's a rock star, not a political economist.

You wouldn't go to the Dalai Lama for a Superbowl prediction, either.
