CD Review: Def Leppard - Yeah! - Comments Page 3

The only entity saying “yeah” to this piece of garbage is the Def Leppard accounting team.

There’s an interview out there on the internet from some years ago in which Def Leppard Joe Elliott states that bands doing covers albums have lost their creative juices. You just have to love the irony of a statement like that coming back to bite a band in the ass like that. As has been clear for years now, that has long since happened to Def Leppard.…

So many of you here seem to be missing the point, or points.

1st of all, bagging on Def Leppard's physical appearance is lame. For god's sake - they have a one arm drummer, and a stump just isn't going to be attractive no matter how you present it.

2ndly, Rick Allen has beaten the hell out of his wife and been arrested for it numerous times. Why do I bring that up? Because it proves that he's not an overwhelmingly decent person. Yet, his music shouldn't be judged based on that fact. Vivian Campbell regularly bemoans the metal community that singlehandedly got him his gig in Def Leppard, proving that he's not really an up front person either. Bottom line is that musicians don't have to be good people to make good music.

Finally, I think many of you judge reviews based on if you are a fan or not. If you are a huge fan, then of course you are going to love any new album from that band. That's why you are a "fan", or fanatic as the word stands for.

All this being said, YEAH is really not a good release. It's very weak musically; shined up with tons of polish in the recording studio to make it passable. You know the saying about shining up a turd? It still stinks at it's core.

Yeah, it's amazing that his wife can't fend him off, what with her two armed advantage. I never knew that he was a violent chap until I heard the interview on VH 1 Behind the music. It is so obvious that his wife is still scared to death of him. Body language is a language which you just can't hide. He looks like a seriously disturbed dude. His eyes look like the guy in Young Frankenstein!!
I'm glad someone agrees with me about the snottiness of Vivian. He is just vile. More power to ya man!
I still don't think "baggin?" on physical appearance is not lame. I think their lack of regard for taking care of themselves is also a reflection on their laziness about putting out a decent, thoughtful CD. Much as they try to hide their swelling jowels and waistlines with makeup and baggy black clothes, they also try to hide the sound of their lack luster voices and instrumentals with MEGA PRODUCTION. They are as bad as Madonna now. I guess next will be the botox and liposuction.
I heard Michael Jackson is moving to Ireland. This is the best present Vivian Campell could ever receive! Ha, ha, ha, ha!

OK........ I am going to a Def Leppard concert and I am scared. Will they make good music or will they make crap? I'm guessing the good music path but maybe not. I will tell you people that post on this website that are not going to the Def Leppard concert. Wolf, my name is Superstar, NOT Superstarf!

This is directed at Gina: You don't even know if Wolf is a boy. Besides you don't know if Wolf is using his/her real name. Or do you? I mean take a girl out? You can't just say that without even knowing who Wolf is. What if Wolf is married? And by the way, do you have a crush on anyone in Def Leppard? You defend them like they are your boyfriends.LOL! When is yur first date with Rick Sav? You said he is very attractive. You must like him( a LOT). LOL! And guess what? I am getting a drum set. I am going to have a band and I am not going to have downhill music when I am in my mid 40s. My nickname in the band might be Superstar or Rockin' angel.
You never know. It might not be any. All I can say is that I am going to be the drummer with blonde hair. That is because Rick Allen inspired me. Even if I lose an arm, I will go on. I have drumming lessons and I'm getting a drum set today getting dropped off at my house. You might know my band in 7-8 years.

Hey Wolf, I know what you're talking about with the voice distortion of Joe. He does sound like the Joker.

I think "Yeah" is a CD that leaves a lot to be desired. If any old Def Leppard fan is out there giving this one a try, I venture to guess that it is leaving them as cold as it leaves me. There is no heart, soul or anything in it's contents. All it is is a CD to promote a tour. They are not creative anymore, and they can barely move on stage.
I have to agree with those who have commented on their on-stage dullness. Sure they are old now, but they surely have enough money and vested interest that they should go to a gym on a regular basis. They are performers and the looks go along with the sound, as superficial as that sounds.
To Wolf: there are plenty of sites out there that can tell you about Steve Clark's "problems." Mainly what I have read has to do with his father abusing him in every conceivable way. Who knows if it's true. It's just a shame that he had sooooo much talent that went to waste. There are so many people I can think of, i.e. George Bush, who should reflect poorly on themselves, but Clark???
If you are reading this Def Leppard, please try to find the old spark. True fans can't handle this commercial trash.

Did MULLETHEAD ruin the whole thing? Nobody has commented since he/she wrote. That just cracks me up. The joker from Batman does sound like Joe. I mean in Hellraiser Joe sounds like he has no idea what notes to play and what is a hellraiser and a saw chaser? In an interview I saw of Def Leppard Phil said that playing Steve's part in "Switch 625" was like hearing the ghost of Steve Clark. I'm sure it wasn't a good feeling. Stephen Maynard Clark R.I.P:( Steve's father ruined Def Leppard. He caused his son to kill him self from torture and humiliation. Steve was a really awesome guitar player but daddy ruined it all. Thank you Mr. Clark! I guess the taxi driver got threatened by his millionaire son. Sorry but get a life Mr. Clark. WAAA WAAAAA WAAAAHHHHHHH WHAAAAAAAAAA get me a handkerchief . Bye. See ya. I'm done with talking about crappy, CRANKY fathers that are useless.

Speaking as someone who has been a fan of Def Leppard since the early 80's, life can dish out some ugly turns and through it all Def Leppard has managed to ride the storm and come out well and intact compared to many who have come and gone with barely a whisper...not even a footnote in history. Def Leppard will always have critics they have since they first burst out on the scene, but their fans know what thei are made of and what their talent and creativity is worth. We all can't be at our best forever...to me Def Leppard is still doing fantastic. I have found some songs that do not speak to me lately but I have also seen some songs and remember the past of the ones that always touched me just when I needed to hear it even if it was just in fun. I know over the years as I look at pictures I have not always looked my best but I always bounce back. i have watched this group evovle into something great that we have whole conversation as to their merit. I'd say they have arrived and are not going anywhere anytime soon. They are awesome and always will be...and yes I bought their new CD Yeah!...and loved it..Joe's rendition of 20th century Boy is just breathtaking and his video of Rock on is sexy.

Superstar, are you some sort of psycho or alcoholic?
The Joker? No, he sounds like the best singer on earth.
I think you are a jealous little airhead.
And whata do looks have to do with anything? But they are still good looking, and yes, maybe I will have a date with Rick Savage in the near future. What are you going to do about that? And I suppose you'll be going on a date with Rick Allen?
Oh, by the way, how many millions of dollars have you earned? How larger is your mansion>? What type of sports car do you drive?
I think you get my point. If you are a nothing, you better stop trashing individuals who have made it in life.

  • 84 - Superstar

    Jul 03, 2006 at 9:48 am

No I am not an psycho or an alcoholic. In Hellraiser, he sounds like the best singer on earth?! No I don't think so. So you think I am a jealous little airhead, huh? A am a girl and I will never be jealous of their looks or their money because I have my own good look and I will be in a famous band. And did you know that Rick Allen is married? If you are such a big Def Leppard fan, why didn't you think of that? Just because Rick Allen inspired me, it doesn't mean that I am going to have a date. I have BFFL and that is better than all that. Did you ever hear the saying "Money can't buy happiness"? And I do not want to have a mansion. Can you please not ask stupid questions like "Are you some sort of psycho or alcoholic?'. You are just trying to get me going. I see the game you are trying to play. Not a very nice one though. You think I am trashing Def Leppard? No I am not. I am just trying to prove my point that Steve made the band good. And I'm saying that Steve's dad said things that made him drink more and more and mix drugs more and more and drugs and alcohol is not a good pair for survival. And Loreli (Steve's girlfriend) I believe was not very happy with what Steve was doing and what Steve's father was doing. I have nothing more to say thinking of Steve's death. And man Gina, can't you take a darn joke? I wish everybody had a good sense of humor. That is all I have to say

Well, I do like the song by Blondie and I think they did a good cover of that. I still would like to know who did the original of "Hellraiser?" Was it the Joker ;-) Caesar Romero, or....
And to the one who said Joe looked sexy singing "Rock On".....
well let's just say I nearly became incontinent when I read that comment. I just will never see what is so "sexy" about this imbicile.
He has beady, little rat eyes, deep naso labial folds, well upholsered body, suet jowels, porcine posterior, pendulous breasts, antideluvian hairstyle and a gelatinous rump. He quite resembles a pongo pygmaeus. and sounds like a gagging skunk. The work of this aging fleet of oil tankers is just insipid and ersatz.
It is so hard to believe this band really is def leppard. Are you sure you guys are not masqueraders? I never in a million years though they would become what they have.

Wolf, how old are you? What exactly do you expect that they stay 20 forever? That just does not exist in the world. I'm sure if they went out and got plastic surgery as most people in the public eye do today they may live up to your expectations. I always thought and still believe Joe Elliott has beautiful eyes. If you do not like the music or if you do not want to see him do not look. There are many women in this world, who feel he is gorgeous and sexy. He really does not need your vote. Even when he was 20, you could find people like you who had something nasty to say. I say you cannot please everyone therefore you should endeavor but to enjoy life and find your own pleasure and enjoyment, all else will follow. Look at yourself one day in the mirror as you get older and remember what you once were...maybe then you will realize that as to their immortality you can never begin to measure. As they get older, they only get better. I am a Sean Connery fan as well. Do you have something nasty to say about him? I have heard Joe Elliott many times in concert and he has never disappointed me. I do not expect he will as long as he keeps enjoying the music. If you believe singers should stop singing after they hit 30 then you will miss many wonderful bands that just get hotter with time and experience. Long live Rock n Roll…

Happy a day late 4th of July all you Def Leppard fans out there!
I watched the fireworks in Boston at 10:30 and when the bands were playing, I wondered why Def Leppard didn't play. But I am going to see them on September! I hope I am not going to see and hear what Wolf said but I am sure I won't. Def Leppard can't be like that. Sure nobody stays 20 their whole life. That is the big point. Will they be good when they are older or not?<-----------I am not asking anybody because I am 100% sure I will get different answers(not what I am looking for). Will they be beautiful or not?(not a question for you guys reading this). Nobody will know until they see them in the time that they wonder that. Well if you people think I am wrong, just comment that I am wrong. I don't care.

hi, just wanted to say that I always did like Def leppard: they're music is just fine with me: there isn't one song by them that I don't like: I love all their music either hard or soft. and they're musicial voices are still good. take care. Shari

  • 96 - Superstar

    Jul 08, 2006 at 12:22 pm

In a way, I kind of agree with you, Shari. I always liked Def Leppard too but when I heard them singing, it wasn't bad but I was just shocked about the change of their voice. In the 20 something years I wasn't really into them anymore, then this sudden thing came into me and then Def Leppard was like part of my life. I listen to them when they were in their 20's everyday now and I watch the Def Leppard Hysteria album music videos a lot. Def Leppard is my fav band. Some people would guess that in less than a second. Some people would never guess that in their life. Do like their music in the 80's better or now? My mom got me into Def Leppard. Rick Allen is a few years older than my mom and I am so young I am not even a teenager. Almost a pre-teen. I know nobody is going to believe me but I am 8 years old. You know, I'm not like most kids. I showed one of my friends Def Leppard and she told me to play "Rock of Ages" over and over and over again. And she never knew Def Leppard and she picked "Pour some sugar on me" out of the choices and I thought"good choice".

  • 97 - babybear231

    Jul 12, 2006 at 6:40 pm

Shari I totally agree with you. I have always loved Def Leppard and their music regardless of what they choose to play they do it with flair. Superstar you should really dig into their recent stuff as well it is pretty good. Especially slang. Hysteria is also from the 80's but you have to understand back then they used alot of alterations to add layered tracks to their music. I think that is their trademark. In slang it is a little different and more straight forward akin to their On through the Night CD, which is one of my favourites. I love this new one Yeah! it has a real spirit as if there is new life in their music. as for the 90's you have alot of grunge through back slack to blame for the nasty negative comments of a great band like Def Leppard. I'm really glad that dark morose era of music is gone and we're back to more up beat fun music that can really get you going. I have been listening to Def Leppard since before I was a teenager in the 80's and my 17 year old and my 8 year old both love their music. Def Leppard is definately a multigenerational band with staying power.

  • 98 - Superstar

    Jul 14, 2006 at 12:22 pm

Hey! I thought I was the only 8 year old kid that liked Def leppard. I do like their recent stuff a lot . Well I guess Def Leppard does have a lot of staying power. The drummer lost his arm.The guitar player lost his life. The band lost their friend. my music would be a bit downhill too if I lost my arm and my friend was killed too.

Well to whoever said Rick Allen looks like a disturbed idiot and and a crazy physco, I really think that is complete utter bulls***. He takes time out of his busy life to visit amputees to give them courage to get their normal lives back. HE honestly seems like a nice guy and he helps all kinds of people throuh Raven Drum Foundation. AND HE CAN DRUM WITH THE BEST OF THEM WITH ONLY ONE ARM. Can you do that? I didn't think so. He doesn't drink either, and he's a vegetarian and takes good care of his body. He is also very spiritual. And that whole hitting his wife thing? As far as I know that only happened once, over 10 YEARS AGO. PEOPLE CHANGE! I have seen it personally. One member of my family was an alchoholic and did some pretty bad things at that time in their life. But they have changed since then and have apologized to everyone they hurt. I'm sure Rick has apologized to his ex-wife since it happened. Gosh people get over yourselves.

    What a shame!

What started out as a comment (albeit not a very nice one) about the band's new album Yeah! (which I love, as it happens) has now turned into a slanging match about the band's looks, personal life etc as well as personal attacks against each other, despite the fact that it warns on this site that personal attacks are not allowed. I am a fan of Def Leppard. Some of their albums I really like, one or two of them I don't. They're a great bunch of guys just doing what they love best - making music they way they want to. To all the DL fans in this forum - rise above it. If the author can't give an opinion on the album without making it personal, that's just sad. To the rest of you, slagging off the band's looks etc is very shallow but each their opinion - just keep it to yourselves - and get a life!!!!

  • 103 - Wolf

    Jul 19, 2006 at 9:44 am

    To Courtney:
I'm sorry, but in my opinion Rick does look disturbed. HIs eyes look like Marty Feldman's in Young Frankenstein. Why, he himself reported in VH 1 behind the music, that he heard voices. So, he has confessed that he is nuts basically. It's ok though, because who in their right mind would try to make a comeback as a one armed drummer. He has my respect for that. That's nice that he visits amputees, but I was commenting on his looks and how he treated his spouse. I'm sure Adolph Hitler had some bright points ;-)
There are police records regarding his spousal abuse. That is public domain. So.... you're wrong!
Regarding his great drumming with one arm; well it is sort of suspected in the music industry, if not known, that all tracks and performances have been "enhanced" - in other words: it's not all him. This was a best friend of the band. They would have kept him no matter what happened. They make it work. And I respect that as well. Who cares about the "Hocus Pocus" drumming.
He isn't a vegetarian. Phil Collen is though. And how can you say that he takes care of his body? He is a bit blubbery in the middle, isn't he? I'm sorry that you are an adult child of an alcoholic. I can see the tell tale signs of that. I hope you attend some Al anon meetings.
Helen: I'm sorry, but I view a band as a whole. It's hard to separate some of their horrific personal life and looks from their music. Please....... tell me that if Rick Savage was singing a love song now, what with portly jowels and all, your heart would flutter? I would run for the loo. LOL!!!
Hiratsu: Thank you for answering my question about Hellraiser. I had a feeling it was the Sweet, what with all the "insane" sounding vocals. I have to say, I have never seen Justin Hawkins.
Wow, he almost looks bizarre enough to be the riddler. What is wrong with that dude?? Me thinks a little bit much snuff.

"I became a vegetarian on the Pyromania tour, when we were driving along in France and saw these really cute, fuzzy-eared cows in a field. Phil said, `How the f--- can anybody eat one of those?' The two of us egged each other on, it's no problem - there are a lot more health food shops now." - 1988 Rick Allen

  • 105 - Helen

    Jul 19, 2006 at 5:33 pm

Wolf: Fortunately I'm not as shallow as you seem to be. It wouldn't matter what the person singing a love song looked like - its the song that counts. As for Rick Allen's drumming, I don't know if you've seen the band live - I have and his drumming is awesome. I've also seen him displaying how he plays the drums. He admits he uses electronic ones as well as the normal ones. Enhanced or not it takes a lot of guts and hard work to play any instrument with a disability. I'm not condoning what he's done in the past, I'm sure he regrets now what he did to his ex-wife. I suppose you're so perfect you've never done anything you could regret! At the end of the day, if you don't like the band or what they've done, don't watch or listen to them (that goes to everyone who's had a go at them or any other band for that matter). Go and do something more constructive with your lives instead of slagging people off you don't even know. This is the end of this matter as far as I'm concerned.

Wolf your comments are seriously spiteful and bitter. I have to say that Def leppard members have aged as we all will. I still think they are a group of talented handsome men. I personally think that Joe Elliott looks more handsome today than he did when he was younger. You have no sense or respect or decorum and it is really unnecessary to bash the band as you have. I watched the band when they came to town and they really rocked the house. None of the old nastalgia of people dressed in 80's drag...There were many fans of all ages. I personally do not see the band as a nastalgia group as they have never stopped making good music. If you view them in that way then obviously you have never looked beyond their 80's music to teh great stuff they have created over the past few years. They tread through the suicide based 90's with the negative music to something more fun. Things have come full circle and the band is as good as it ever was. Check out some of their stuff on youtube. I find myself loving all the music both old and new.

As for Rick Allen he is a vegetarian. He does seem a little out there and odd but it is just his big smile which makes him look a little goofy but he is obviously a happy guy. A little over the top with the big grin but don't we all wish we were that happy all the time. I commend him for finding what we all strive for. As for his bad behaviour I truly hope he has learned his lesson. It is easy to judge the band for their personal mistakes and choices how would your life stand up to scrutiny of 29 years to have all your quirks and foibles laid out for alll to see. Compared to most rock bands this one is definately a safer more solid bet. They are not dangerous and unrealiable like axle rose who could be in jail or somewhere drunk and unavailable. They are consumate professionals. I dread the day I hear that another band members has lost their lives.

    Def Leppard rocks.

    Hey Babybear,
Are you from England? I noticed that you spelled behavior (American English) in the British English lexicon. And I think you mean Nostalgia?? I am not sure if there is a word in American English that is spelled nastalgia.
I won't comment any more on the looks. But I have to differ with you that they will age as well as "we" will. I don't know about you, but I am a non-drinker/smoker, vegetarian, and fitness instructor. I am close to their age and honestly nobody believes me when I tell them that. I know plenty of people who have aged better. "Nuff said.
I do like some of their music post eighties and nineties. This album was just lackluster IMO.
I do agree that Joe Elliot looks better today, but that's not saying much. Thank God the antedulluvian Mullett is passe. He looked semi-vacuous and dozy as a youth. I don't think any of them are brain surgeons to be honest. Weren't they all in mutton-headed jobs anyway? They all had pretty much "joe-boy", minion jobs in factories as far as I am aware. Archaic scullions, basically. Thank God for them they were able to soft-soap the right people in the music industry. I don't even want to know what type of depraved things they had to do to get where they are now. I don't think anyone is so ingenuous to think that they did it only with their "talent."
And they sure were "professional" when they invited all those strumpets and tarts beneath "the Round", their den of iniquity.
And how many times were these guys driving while inebriated?
Amazing that their were no DUIs. But then again there probably were, but payola can buy a clean police record, can't it???

    Baby bear231,
Why can't an eight year old like Pour Some Sugar On Me? Let's get rocked is as good for an eight year old than Pour Some Sugar On Me is. Well in a way, it is a compliment that you think I am older because I guess I am more mature. Thats all I have to say about that.

    Jul 22, 2006 at 10:37 pm

Superstar I did not say an 8 year old could not like Pour some Sugar on me. I said your verbiage does not resonate as that of an 8 year old.

Wolf your bitterness knows no bounds. I am English educated, that may account for my "idioma" I am a Spaniard with a proper British Education. As for the bands looks now and then I have always thought them handsome. As for the hairstyles, fads come and go and they are not seriously bad until they have gone and people still sport them. Def Leppard are innovators in the music industry in their own time. When a band is influential enough to spawn copy cats and touch the next generation of muscians they have been immortalized in that sense. I have to seriously say you have never really seen them if you believe they have no talent. I have been fortunate enough many years ago to see them in a pub near London and they were fantastic. I have attended at least one concert from every new Cd they release and have watched them evolve into wonderful talents. As for your looks and compliments, pertaining to that is relative. Def Leppard has 2 1/2 vegetarians; Meaning that Rick Allen, Phil Collen are vegetarians and Joe Elliott does not eat pork, cow, or chicken. Who are you to judge what they did in their youth. We all have daemons and we have all done things we are not proud. As for what they did in the round, are you jealous. Gossip spread does not make it truth. I have seen interviews where Joe is questioned about that and claimed it was a one-time incident that sprung out of proportion but that is unimportant. Rock bands from the beginning have been a bit lecherous and immersed in debauchery that has not affected their stand or talent in music when they can do the job.

As for their previous job descriptions, one must realize that this one in their youth as they began their musical careers as teenagers. How many teenagers do you know today that have highly intellectual positions. Life evolves and we grow and become what we will be. What they did as teenagers does not represent who they have become as men. I see that they have talent, resources and position all things you try to establish in life and which may make some bitter and jealous. I have met many men in my life who have done the same (i.e. inebriated behind the wheel) this is not a Def Leppard phenomenon this is a young man's miscalculation, which some leave behind and some do not. If you delve into anyone's life close enough you will find their tidbits of ineffective lives. Stop the nit picking and either enjoy the music or walk away. Def Leppard has their fans who love them and support their choices regardless of the genre and style of music of which they are inclined. Long Live Def Leppard...

Well I am an eight year old. What is a verbiage? Kids can be just as smart as adults. Can't they?

Even your method of thinking is not condusive to that of an 8 year old. I think that you get on here say things and hide behind that but that's neither here nor there get a dictionary.

Well, I've been a fan of Def Leppard for 23 years now and I really, really like Yeah!. I heard bits of the old Def Leppard in there and it was great.

I went to their sold-out show on July 24(the first chance I've ever had to see them live) and they blew me away! Def Leppard is truly a concert band, as they have always stated to be.

I would like to ask you all a question, though. Where do you get all this info on the Leps? I've always found it very hard to find out much about them. Even Def Leppard.com doesn't offer up much in the way of personal information. Can anybody recommend a good site for learning more about them or should I just do a Google search and see what I come up with? I would really appreciate anything anybody can offer me.

Peace, love and be good to each other.

There are many sites that give tidbits of information on the group although Deflep.com is actually a more whitewashed site and doesn't really answer all the questions the fans want to know. If you want to see really good unscripted pictures and personal information you have to delve into the fan sites. I met one person at a concert who gave me a really great site. on msn

LMAO, too funny. Just to toss in my 2 cents, IMO most of the material released after Hysteria I found lacking the same focused intensity that brought me to adore the band in the first place.

I find Yeah! to be downright scary, not my cup of tea.

Hoss, that's called evolution...something any good band with lasting power will do...try to evolve. We can't stay stuck in an era. I have listened to their music after Hysteria and found myself loving new Def Leppard music and glad they are still around . How old are you? "IMO" is such a juvenile term.

WOW! I was looking at Def Leppard album covers and stumbled across this site. So much for being bored at work.
I've got to say that I have been listening to DL since they came out and when On Through the Night came out I knew this band was going to be great. I am suprised at all the comments that have nothing to do with whether Yeah is a good album or not. I think it's a great album, and there are tracks that I don't care for. My 14 year old son thinks this is a great album and uploaded it to his IPod and is learning to play some of the tracks.
It's funny that some people think that because a band puts out a cover album, they don't have any inspiration left. I've been to several concerts of very different bands and they all played a cover tune during the show. Most bands start out playing covers, because no one wants to hear original tunes from bands that they have never heard before. Van Halen did an entire album of covers prior to releasing VH1. They call it the Looney Tunes Album (Vinyl). Most musicians that I know started with covers because that's how you learn.
Anyway, I think Yeah is good enough to spend some money on and I hear this tour is great (with the exception of the Steve Perry wantabe). All this other stuff is just petty nonsense or some just stiring the pot. Musician grow, music changes. Even Paul McCartney doesn't sound like he did when the Beatles were hot. DL is still a great band. And this is from someone who listens to just about everything from SOAD, Craddle of Filth, to Jayz and RunDMC. Good Job DL. Keep the faith, rock on!

I just wanted to say to Wolf...regarding Joe's eyes...They are larger than life, not beady little rats eyes as you put it. At the Nashville concert this past July, when they showed Joe up on the big screen, a bunch of people at the same time mentioned how pretty his eyes were. They are gorgeous and on the screen they were bluer than blue! I saw those eyes mere feet from me and they are absolutely drop dead gorgeous! You're jealous you won't look that good in your late 40's, or if you're already there...you probably don't look that good. He's not fat and Sav isn't bloated. I have pictures of Sav with his vest open and well....it was all good.

Oooooooooookkkkk ....let see, we got some Joe Elliott, Def Leppard bashing going on here...Especially from some dude named Wolf ? Hmmm...well...Joe Elliott happens to be THE Sexiest Frontman, Singer, Vocalist, Song Writer, Stage Performer there ever was or is or ever will be. Now all those who sit around and bash him are nothing but jealous of him and his stage presence. He can woooo us Ladies with just a look or a smile. Not many men that can to that. His eyes can make us have dreams at night that all of you only wish you could make your ladies have. We can sit at our computers and look at pictures of Joe Elliott all day and listen to Def Leppard songs and you can only wish you got as much attention from your wives as Joe Elliott and Def Leppard get from us. Now to bash someone with as much talent that Joe Elliott and Def Leppard have you must really feel insecure about yourself. Something your Momma must of forgot to instill in you as a young boy I guess. As you can tell Joe Elliotts Mom gave him the confidence and security it takes to become one of the most talented men in the music industry today. And we wont even go into his lump ok ???? (yeah you all wish it were a sock) I only hope your half as big as he is but I doubt it cause if you were your wife would have you in bed right now instead of you having to sit on the computer and bash someone you know nothing about. As far as the rest of Def Leppard goes...Rick Savage is one of the best Bass players out there. He can make a song sound so sweet. Not to mention he is a Beautiful man also. Phil Collens is a master at what he does. He can make you rock rock till you drop. Vivian Campbell brought nothing but good to the band when Steve Clark (who was THE best) passed away. The vibe he gives off just makes you want to fly. And Rick Allen, well what can you say about THE THUNDER GOD HIMSELF??? He is wonderful. His drum playing is like none other. (fuck all you who make jokes about the one armed drummer, you only wish you were HALF as good as him). He has a Spirit which goes way beyond drumming. He gets into your soul when he plays. He feels every beat he puts out. Def Leppard in a whole is the EPITOMY of a Rock Band. They did, do and always will make us ROCK ON..So for those of you who have nothing better to do then sit around and bash one of the GREATEST Rock bands ever....all I can say is "FUCK YOU". And as Joe Elliott says, "DONT FORGET US, AND WE WONT FORGET YOU". Until we meet again...ROCK ON....

This guy wouldn't know GOOD music if it bit him in the ass! Def Leppard has been through many trials and tribulations but has gotten through these & haven't looked back. I totally admire Rick Allen. How many drummers today would have been what he has been through and STILL remains the very best at what he does? None because the drummers today are not made of the same stuff Rick is made of. And let's face it, the band rocks!!! Been to 16 concerts & counting. Keep doing what you do guys & the fans will always be there. Debbie
